We have a private booking with a very good restaurant on the royal mile.
The whole top floor to be exact.
This will be open to all you FAB people!!

Unfortunately we are but we think this is a great idea so we will keep an eye on your next one if all goes well. Would you consider the same sort of idea but in glasgow ? Or will it always be in Edinburgh? Xx |

Your right I've worked in hospitality for an age.... Even in level zero restrictions your only allowed that amount of folk for weddings and funerals x |

Is it tables of six from four households at the minute ? (Not been paying attention to the news tbh I’m still on the fence yet about whether I’m coming but I’ll pay my deposit anyways just in case)
If it is will you be randomly putting the tables together or will we be able to put in our requests of who were sat with ? |

That restaurant in town I booked a few times for pre Cjs/socials would easily be able to hold 100 and keep enough distance that it would adhere to the guidelines !? Pretty sure they would be happy to take a large booking on the understanding the tables were divided out to coincide with the rules it’s defo worth thinking about.
I’ve seen a lot of works nights out lately them taking up maybe half dozen tables in some places I’ve been to over the last two months and they asked if tables could be put together and staff were a strict no, was mad because they were all working in one office/venue together and didn’t even sit at the same tables as the folk they car shared with etc |

Before surgery I went out for lunch a cpl times and one of my biker ladies took me out last week, if I’ve got myself strapped up and someone looking after me I can get out just need to be extra careful |

Like all fab socials the finer details are never revealed till on the day, otherwise anyone could turn up or disaster like many years ago the details ended up in the papers and the even was cancelled, I personally wouldn’t be attending any socials that the organisers give out the details beforehand, it’s in Edinburgh city centre so you’ll find google will tell you what the restrictions are !! Same as any other restaurant in the city, contrary to public misconception fab socials are actually well behaved, more than any works night out for sure because people don’t want to draw unwelcome attention !! |

That's the way most Social organisers do things, and whereas MOST people know to keep things private, you do get the occasionally idiot that looks to ruin things.
There have probably been a LOT more, but I know of two Scottish socials where someone saw fit to leak the details to the press. |

The only issue is we are all crammed in a bloody corner, we are gasping for drinks cause they are taking ages to give us and we can’t mingle and chat

I had an amazing night and stuffed my face and drank way too much and had an a amazing time, at first I was a right sorry mess my treatment side effects had me feeling awful but a few drinks in the alcohol seemed to counter balance the off lol and the menu served as a great fan to cool
Me down, the company was amazing and I got to sit beside the gorgeous Irish charmer and his even lovelier missus x only thing low is to try and get to bloody sleep the bed is too big the rooms too hot even with the window open and ive no one to snuggle lol need more single men next time lol |

There were about 4/6 people per table and I think there was about 10 tables plus a few turned up later as well. |
