You're welcome. Head to George Square, just round the corner from the pub called The Counting House and you'll get the bus there x

I can recommend a cracking vegan place. It's takeaway only but deliver to city centre. Food is outstanding, and I'm not vegan

There are so many vegan places now, you will be spoiled for choice.

Stereo, Mono and The 78 (if open again) are excellent all rounders. If you want lunch type places, there's Picnic, Glasvegan (does excellent cakes too) and Serenity Now.

The Flying Duck is excellent for cheap pub grub.

Lotus Vegetarian is superb and Suissi Vegan Kitchen and Puti Vegan Cafe also good for oriental vegan food.

As for sightseeing, as others suggest, a sightseeing bus tour is a good starter - the Cathedral, Provand's Lordship is unfortunately closed, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Riverside Museum of Transport and Tall Ship, Glasgow Science Centre, Botanic Gardens, People's Palace (also closed), The Tenement House, Hunterian Art Gallery (and Mackintosh House), House For An Art Lover, the City Chambers is awesome inside, The Lighthouse, The Willow Tea Rooms (I think the do a vegan afternoon tea now)...could go on...

Hope you have fun!

I think for a city like Glasgow that's not a bad idea, as unlike, say, Edinburgh the tourist and interesting places seem to be both less well known and less obvious. I've done the tour and found it took me places I might not have bothered with or thought about otherwise. Even if you just stay on and do a 'lap' it's a good way to get your bearings, especially compared to somewhere like Edinburgh where lots of things are all closer together and easily walkable.

Ask the hotel, most will have discounted parking arrangements nearby.

Might be worth investing in a Roundabout or Daytripper ticket from the SPT - details on their web page.
