Got an email from O2 saying pre-register interest and get it before general release, never read it all right enough, i held off on the 4s in anticipation of this bad boy, thanks

The iPhone 5 will only work to its full potential (LTE) on the EE network who are in the process of launching the UK's first LTE (4G network) in a few major cities.

The other networks wont have LTE for another year at least.

Cant see any other major advantage of getting the 5 other then it been slightly taller and the screen been tall enough for another row of icons.

Once the 5 is out, the 4s will be cheaper to buy outright and will be a flood of them on ebay, so use the chance to grab a bargain. There is a substantial difference between your 3GS and the 4s.

Cheers Steve, i know they will have to update all the apps etc for it to be compatible with the 5.

Seen all the paper adverts already punting the 4s trying to get rid of stock.

If you have had the 3gs for a while, I would seriously have a try of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC One X.

Apple must think they are a threat as they are trying so hard (in many different countries) to sue them.

I like some Apple things, the design etc is spot on but they always seem late to the party with features. Their stuff is simple to use though and works well. Just not customisable enough for me and dont like been tied into doing things the way Apple insist.

We've already got our iPhone 5 ordered, 2 for delivery on the Friday the 21st from 3.

Already got a buyer for both our iPhone 4s's at £300 each. 3 have charged us £240 early upgrade on each phone so we come out £120 for a good night out lol.

Thanks. thought that may be the case. Although the post above is good - couple making £120 with doing the deal with their network x

I think if your upgrade is due and your happy with iphone then brill, go for it... But you could save money by changing down to a sim only deal and then can start a new contract with a free phone if something else comes along.

I'm the world's worst for changing phones tbh but am happy with my HTC One X.

Having bigger hands and fingers in love bigger phone and with Android you can replace the keyboard for one off the play store that makes it easier to type on touch screens... Can't get that with iphone.

02 offered me £80 for my 3gs and when i looked at what their still charging for a " new" 3gs £300 or recon which is what they will sell mine for £210.

I'd settle for a quality bj, cough cough

Had all the iPhones. This time was a toss up between the 5 and HTC One x...

Went Android...Apple is just getting plain boring now.
