Is it just me or is this site a bit cleeky?? Doesnt matter how many time I say hello in the Scottish chat room when I enter nobody says hello back!! Maybe its just a manors thing!!!... might be as its always the same crowd in!!!..
(I do expect a few crabbit replies if any lol) |

Would you expect everyone in a bar turn round and say hello to you if there were 80+ people in there?
Same in chat im afraid, can take some visits to get noticed though...
Best plan is to wait till you can get a grasp of a convo and kind 'but' in with something.

Random rambling nonsense tends to work for me in chatroom.
I dont go in there, hoping, expecting, demanding a hello or anything, do just,,,,,,chat, be amazed how many agree, dissagree, or watever, with whatever your chat is. |

Ive been in both chat rooms and to be honest find them intimadating at first as seemed to be groups of peeps spoke to each other and u were being ignored but as already been said jump in hav a chat they dnt bite well sum do if u ask nice was here b4 dif profile and used chat alot and luved it they a gd bunch a friendly peeps just not got the time 4 chatrooms at mo  x |

Hi I really dont expect a 'hello' or anything but after a few attempts it does get a little boring. I have been on here for a while and never found chat rooms to be the best area of this site. It does seem a selected few have crowded out the newer less pushy ..(less ignorant) folk!! |

Havent used the forum really before yesterday so still sussing it out but I hope not... seems the general feeling is that the chat rooms are very clique tho!! but is is generaly the same people in 24/7 so its understandable I suppose |

it is very cliquey cleeky or however people spell it. we know this as we where here before with a different user name and had a few meets and a few good friends and played on cam lots, so we got spoke to lots by various people for various reasons, we decided our last profile had had its day and left. we joined again and its very hard to get in if you know what i mean, we havent revealed who we where before due to some wanker recognising us and blabbing our names and place of work in the room. but as we are more discrete now and dont act as we did before it means we dont interest people as much as before so basically we are being side lined due to the fact we are more careful due to a complete loser on here.....so yes, we agree with the op. |

Actually I think playing on cam will attract a different type of chatter and the second you stop... They will flutter to another room for the next show. If an every day chatter, the bonds are more longer term and a little more genuine.

Not being rude but what was your expectation that they do...
Maybe pop in and observe how new joiners there are within a 10 minute window and explore how they can continue theirown conversation...and eel come all the new joiners.
One thing that did my complete tits in when I used chat was a million hi's and byes when people joined and left.

Again I'm not new to this site. I have been on it for years and understand how it works hence the fact I've tried a few times in the chat room with little joy prob downdown to the fact of the regulars as already stated. As I'm not the only one who feels this is the case. Is it perhaps possible I have a valid point ? |

Yes it's very difficult to get noticed in chat we've all been newbies at one point is it cliquey well you only need to read previous comments to see that very cliquey !!!!
I've been on and off the site for four years when I first joined I was forever getting kicked out of chat and being reported by other users !!! For what ? For going to make a cuppa and leaving a dancing bumblebee on cam etc so petty quite often it happened even got banned from fab altogether twice
I tend to use the newer chat rooms because its newer faces and some old and tend to have some good laughs and banter a nice good bold underlined font usually helps but don't be disheartened give it time and I'm sure you will have a fab time in chat |

Didn't mean to thinly veil any criticism. I meant it to be way more obvious than that lol. Saying hello and getting no answer was just an example of some off my chat room experiences. I have been a member got years on here so definitely not new.

Cant be bothered reading every comment so this may have been said already but I was once in the thinking it was a tad cliquey and struggled to get going in chat but was patient, got involved in any conversation that was going, gave my opinions on stuff etc and before you know it everyone knows you.
If theres a good convo going sometimes a solitary "hello" can easily go missed. Hell I sometimes miss complete lines from people lol

Well I chat in both scotland rooms and 99% of peeps are reaaly nice and the other 1% are blocked. I can say i haven't noticed a clique as such but there are people in these rooms that have know each other for ages. Best way is just go in say hi and type the biggest lot of pish that come into your head. Someone will reply |

chat can be clique... but doesnt mean its a bad thing ...its just friendships get formed and i tend to chat more to my friends in chat but i dont intentionally ignore anyone ...sometime chat can go so fast its easy to miss comments and on the other hand sometimes a hi how are u isnt enough to make a convo ...a convos a 2 way thing u get out what u put in ...i tend to miss out the barrage of compliments that are not taken up on one then passed along to the other ...when i joined and started in the scotland room it was daunting but i stuck in there and made good friends which i have met with and not met ! on the whole id say scotland chat is a good room with good people |
