Just a wee thought that come to mind there with the ever increasing car rooftop tents going about to see what couples and singles have them and use them but potentially have a roof top tent swingers gathering throughout Scotland and further a field.
Granted we are coming into the colder weather but for us hardcore expedition campers its a way to keep warm in the colder months.
But who uses them for the normal camping adventures where it could be a game of what 3 words to selected folks to meet up and pitch more than just the tent.......X |

We have a transit. Only use the roof tent when we are away with the kids for the extra room. We are out every weekend in our van covering all of Scotland. If vans are welcome we are definitely game for a park up few drinks and a laugh |

Expidition campers would know not to sleep on top of a vehicle roof- so many of them around, but when most use them they realise they aren't really well made, not great in Scottish weather, and all they really do is make you burn more fuel by driving round with a box on your roof. Plus not really made for us long pods! |

Tent box fun - I’ve had one for about 5 years. Been all over Europe in it and yes I’ve had some fun.
Not tempted to go to camper van - if I want more luxury for a few days I just book a hotel.
My trips are usually 6-8 weeks duration.
Love my tent box |

We are heading up to glencoe after work Friday. Park up in the middle of nowhere and spend the weekend. Anyone with camper / roof tent interested in tagging along can either be purely social meeting or open to take things further. Feel free to get in touch |

"And just like that, all my romantic notions of sleeping under the stars and watching the sunrise have gone! "
If you have the right tentbox its got skylights to watch the stars... |

Yeah they can take the strain but it’s so hard not to make your car move ( shake ) lol but that’s the fun part I guess depending where you’re parked.
I’ve tried it on a quiet-ish camp site so we had to wait unit it was dark . ( oh turn the car alarm off, made that mistake as well lmao |
