Starting a new thread on this as myself and a few others enjoy talking mountain walks.

Apologies to those who have no interest.

"Cairnwell 3 this coming weekend"

Weather looks to be cr@p but these 3 should be okay in the rain.

The heat is worse than rain though.

Went through Inverness on the way back from Glen Affric.

Couldn’t find a chipper, do you recommend any?

Aye, is that the 5 including Lochnagar and Carn a’ Choire Bhoidheach?

Did them for the 3rd time last October. Broad Cairn to Cairn Bannoch has to the easiest Munro, didn’t seem like Broad Cairn should be a Munro at all, was tiring enough though by the time we got back down to Loch Muick.

There’s a crashed plane on Carn an t Saigart mor.

Never done Broad Cairn but it can't be easier than The Cairnwell

Thanks for that, it’s good that this thread gets folk interested in their own fitness.

Munros range from relatively easy, like Glenshee where the ski road takes you more than halfway up to absolute torture and some are very dangerous.

Most are safe given the right gear.

You’ll get a lot out of it, other than fitness, there’s stamina, challenges, achievements and you meet a lot of nice folk in the mountains, I’m never stuck for a crac with some strangers.
