Apart from the new partner who seems ok, or the one night stand, or the fuckbuddy on the second meet (they seem ok too) ? This is how the majority think.
It's all about risk and how it is managed.
I love bareback - but insist on all my partners having recent tests, and me also. Foolproof? No, far from it. But having bareback sex with a new partner, both recently tested and clear, is actually LOWER risk than random sex with a stranger who has no idea of their status.
There is a recent study that proves just this thesis - people who test regularly and are very sexually aware are by far the lowest risk group out there.
yes, the naysayers will argue that you can catch something and pass it on between tests etc... But perhaps my point is that you identify a new partner - both test - and then have sex with each other... repeat before moving onto new partners.
There is really no excuse with the prevalence of home testing kits etc.
Instead of adamantly arguing that you never ever ever do bareback, would never do it, its silly, its a huge risk, its a "death sentence".... people should really educate themselves more about the actual risks involved and stop preaching from their ill informed high horses.

I have to be honest both myself and my man have been guilty of not using condoms, not often but occasionally, but it makes waiting for test results to come back far to scary, we have vowed never to do it again with out condoms.
We do have 2 or 3 good friends that we trust, but even with them we always use condoms now. X |

Its the fact that its a gangbang was more to my point.
One on one is a risk but you could get lucky and catch something lol but in a gangbang with 5 or 6 or more guys then the chances are extremly high just my thoughts

There's a strange hypocrisy about STDs that your think our community would manage to get past. Why are they still looked upon with such disdain, contempt and disgust? They're no different to any other disease. Why is one form of herpes socially acceptable and one isn't? If a person has a random throat bug why is that okay, but NSU would make you a pariah?

I don't see much difference from gang bangs to private parties or clubs etc with people wandering from room to room having fun.

I just threw out a leaflet today that stated it was just as risky ....especially for certain types of STD and woman/men can both catch STDs from oral sex ....it's all a risky business....makes you wonder why we still do it huh??!!! Lol xx |

I posted a while back on one of the regular bareback discussions & pointed out that over the years I have had the privilege of being involved in many group situations.

We ALWAYS use condoms, no negotiating but I don't see that just because someones life choices are different to yours and ours, that you should have any power to report them. Not sure a LOL is appropriate either, can't imagine you were chuckling away to yourself as you wrote that!
What should give you the power to say yay or nay? The only choice you should have is to decide for yourself if you want to meet them or not and if you do, make sure you strap it up first. LOL! |
