MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

calamine ans zinc lotion.

When I get bad midge bites (I'm allergic but the wee buggers seem to think I'm yummier than a banquet dinner) I paint the top of the bite with clear nail varnish, and that helps.

O o O oo

Be careful they don't turn into an infection if you keep scratching them as it is really unpleasant and painful.

Not sure if you know as you are a fisherman, but Avons skin so soft lotion with the green label seems to keep the insects away, and it smells nice

My recent bites have turned out to be from clegs. Nasty vile little boogers and almost a week on they are still painful. Lavender and tea tree oil is helping. I have invested in Avon's sss and a flame thrower for future picnics!!!!

A young lady at the weekends camping soirée kindly gave me some Skin So Soft.....it's better than any conventional insect repellant I've ever used
