Not one for posting a new thread lol  but we have never been too a social before and have no idea what to expect or happen , we wondered if you guys had any funny stories , do,s and donts or musts lol

First time at a social - relax, smile and have fun! You will have a ball. Everyone is lovely and we all had a first social.
What to expect or happen - meeting like minded people who love to have a laugh, a dance and a flirt. The only real difference is the innuendo isn't taboo
Funny stories - am sure everyone has one.
Do introduce yourself, don't be nervous and absolutely must have a fabulous time.

The worst thing you can do at a social
Is not mingle and introduce yourself
Everyone who is going is on fab And in the same boat as yourselves
When you go up to the bar look next to you say hello I'm ... What's your name

On a plus note some people will be in fancy dress so that is the ice breaker right there. No need to worry about what to say...
unless of course you are scared of witches, clowns, men dressed as ladies, cats, batman and whatever else some of us will come as....
although if you like sweeties, gob stoppers and chocolate you can come sit on my knee

I don't have a shiny enough shell suit track suit or whatever it was called then, to wear, large glasses, headband or a nice big cigar and anyways it was medals he gave out not sweeties.
