Do you find that some tunes put you back to places and times of your youth? For instance, Don't Leave Me this Way by The Communards put me at the shows in Barmulloch many, many moons ago. And It's a Sin by Pet Shop Boys puts me in Grangemouth on my Summer Holidays.

So what songs puts you where?

Lonely Girl from Donny Osmond, the club at HMS Raleigh where as a 16yr old sailor I had a knee jerker behind the stage with an older lady.

Anything from the Bee Gees reminds me of an old friends big sister and a summer of fun in a caravan site in Blackpool.

Chance breaks my heart everytime I hear it.

I had a friend who died at the age of 27.

I let her hear this song when Stuart first wrote it as it reminded me so much of her.

She lived in a house with 2 alcoholic parents and 2 gangster brothers and she was on the receiving end of their fists on many occasions.

Then she fell for a mate of mine, in spite of warnings she married him.

You know that verse

He came like a hero from the factory floor

With the sun and moon as gifts

But the only son you ever saw

Where the two he left you with,

Thats exactly what happened, I ended up bringing up her two wee boys after she died.

"Highway to the Dangerzone"from Topgun

Driving with fellow players to games and us changing the word Dangerzone for ENDZONE whilst singing our lungs out.

So many songs, so many memories...

Like I stated earlier Chance breaks my heart everytime I hear it,

Anything from Queen, got into them when I was 13 yrs old, heard their very first album and over the years I've bought eveything they made, was lucky enough to see them play a couple of times.
