Wow, aren't you a charmer!!! As countless others have said, and will say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When it comes to men, I'd much rather spend time with a curvy guy with a great personality than a skinny one with a 'superior' attitude. |

I've seen lots of profiles with the descriptions and most I would disagree with. It's all subject to the individual perception or who is writing the profile
But when it comes down to it, who cares. If someone finds you attractive then that's what matters |

I think some people are right, it doesn't matter what size you are if you've got the confidence. But some don't.
And yes, I'm not sure where the line is or how to distinguish between the terms OP. Like everything else to do with looks, it's all down to personal preference. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  |

People get quite hung up on the way others choose to describe themselves. I don't understand why. Its their choice! If you don't like something move on?
Its all a matter of perspective. I'm not confident and I look at myself and see very fat. Others look and see curvy. That's just life.
However we are all far more than our body shape. Sadly in the world our size is used to define us and it shouldn't be. |

Yes we all have flaws and most chicks ain't comfortable with the way we look but on here with pics on your pictures I think should be a true reflection of what you look like
I can see sort of where the OP is coming from...we all have preferences and maybe his is size
If all a chick / guy has a weird angles profile pic and sAysgarth average..curvy..ample..fabulous on their profile...well you canto see what's what?

urvy, large and ample. There is a difference between them all, if you really pick at it. But it really is up to the individual to choose which they feel best describes their figure. And that is all it is - their figure. It isnt a guide to them as a person.
For me, I am a big girl but chose curvy for my profile as I feel that best describes my figure. Could choose large or ample but I have pics on my profile to show what I look like. Its just a description and visual of what I look like, not who I am or what I can offer.

I take it I am OP? there's no instructions that I can find on how to use this Forum thing. Difference is easy skinny is thin, bony is anorexic, athletic is thin but well toned, average is what it says on the tin - halfway between skinny and fat. |

I suppose there's always going to be the odd bitter man hater on here, I've come across quite a few already by the way they write their profiles, criticising every word a man writes. I just block them, yes, us men do get pissed off as well! I do NOT have a superior attitude, I was curious to find out what the difference is, and I now know from the polite people who replied on here, that it is what a woman regards as their shape, but it can seem totally different to other people - it's a kind of multi-option definition, somewhere between thin and fat on a flexible scale. |

I always just go with the pics rather than the description. It can be difficult where there are pics taken from funny angles or only of partial body parts (seen one profile that was just a pic of an ankle) but I tend to just assume there won't be a mutual attraction in those cases. |

Dont know the difference but what annoys me is when a woman is fat us guys have to just accept it or we are insensitive arseholes but when a guy is fat it's ok for women to just ignore us?
I've already started my own personal revolution, I no longer meet anyone who isn't thin. I dont get any meets on fab because of this, very few on other sites either but when i do get a meet its already someone I fancy.

Being ignored on fab is not just a male issue.
Each persons perspective is different, it makes us as unique as our DNA and our fingerprints.

I saw on that naked dating programme on ch4 (I forget it's name) that curvy means a woman has a small wasteline and larger hips.
As fab doesn't have very good options for the male halfs of a couple I've had to say curvy but the truth is I'm chubby. Not for long though, hopefully |

It would be good if you had the option for say dress size and boobs size maybe??? I'm a size 16 (unashamedly) and have 38E boobs. I say curvy but I have been called fat. It doesn't bother me because I'm happy with my wobbly bits! In fact I get more attention now than I did when I was a size 10 lol!!
And personally, I like a wobbly belly on a man. Nothing nicer than spooning up to a big soft belly behind you or a chubby bum in front of you (if you are being big spoon lol!). |

Ultimately it's not about size, weight, it's about a preference. This bigger issue is with how people choose to verbalise their preferences. The word fat is used I'm my opinion in a derogatory way in this context, As is the word skinny or anorexic, however if your average or athletic that is acceptable.
I'm fat, and lots of men won't choose to meet me, but that's ok I can live with that. |

I'll second that. I never check the size feature anyway. Although looks does play a part I'd rather play with someone I like based on there personality. |
