Very often, a lady will describe herself as BBW, curvy, large, and occasionally, fat. If she is happy in her own body, who am I, or anyone else, to criticise?

I'd sooner read that, than the ones who describe themselves as whore/slut.

There are many beautiful, ample, buxom, rubenesque ladies, and I for one, appreciate them for themselves.

You couldn't class the 50's style figure as BBW though. In the UK the average female was a size 12.

I know. Many people seem to assume she was much larger.

No, she would be a size 8-10 these days. There's a large number of sites out there going into a fair bit of detail. Here's one that explains a lot using her clothing, modelling records etc

Read this one. Think she was busty with a tiny waist. But at her heaviest she was UK size 14/16 which is I think 10/12 USA. Does say she's smaller than thought but clothes would be made different back then I guess. X

If you do a quick search on google 'what dress size was Marilyn Monroe' they all appear to have her as what would currently be a UK size 8-12 and smaller in current US sizes. The link above uses many things, including the clothing she wore, to show what size she would be considered today.

There are attractive women out there in all shapes and sizes, I just don't understand why anyone would mention Marilyn Monroe on a BBW thread though as she was nowhere near it.

A world of my own

Dress size doesn't define anyone. However there's a huge amount of focus on it.

I dislike so many labels. When I look in the mirror I see something that others say they don't.

When I meet people for the first time I'd hate to think that their summary of me would be just my size.

I'd far rather go to a social that welcomes people of all shapes and sizes.

Lets face it there would be uproar if someone organised one just for slim people.

There was a very interesting thread recently which discussed whether any of the clubs do slim only nights in the same way they do bbw admirers and the reaction was quite positive.

Why can't their be specialised nights, to cater to people's kinks/tastes. If it makes those feel comfortable there shouldn't be any problems. I'd never be offended by events run for and by those whose sexuality preference is under a size 14 for example.

My only issue is a social is for meeting local people without the pressure/expectations of sex after it. Therefore what would a social for bbws and admirers achieve that a general social couldn't?

If it's for women to feel more comfortable around other similar body types then that's a positive.

If it's for men to use it as a selection process then I'd take umbrage at calling it a social!

"I only wanted to prove to my wife that guys find big girls attractive "

If your Mrs isn't ready to be on Fab with you yet what makes you think she would be ready for a fab social?

And some guys do prefer bigger women, same as some prefer smaller. But if you're attending a social as a confidence boost for your wife it has the potential of having the opposite effect if none of the attendees make a pass (whether it is due to lack of attraction to the individual or respect for the normal no playing rules that accompany socials).

If you are looking for that kind of attention I'd suggest a club night. Xx

Is there a club/social for people who don't do clubs/socials?
