Hi
My work has Asked me if Im willing to go to Nigeria for nine days
I have no knowledge except Its said to be a bit risky place to be
Anyone keen to message me some info and advice
And Ive seen gov advice

I wouldn't trade with Nigeria, never mind venturing there.
Fraud is endemic at all levels and if you venture up north there is the chance of kidnap by Islamic terrorists.
Lassa fever is a present hazard and the possibility of Ebola breaking out again can not be discounted. |

Check the gov.uk site like most countries in the region there is a high threat of terrorism/kidnapping and as other have said fraud is rife but as long as you stay away from the north & north west of the country you should be fine. If your being asked to go by your employer surely they are aware of the current climate over there and will arrange security etc for you. Or are they just buying you a plane ticket and wishing you the best? Lol |

It's different, I'll tell you that for nothing.... South near Lagos and ibadan is ok. North is a no no!! Lock all your valuables and never let your passport out of sight. Company business, you will be driven everywhere. Hotels are ok. Nothing special, but secure. Expect random phone calls for prossies... Make sure you vaccinations are up to date.
I ate chicken nuggets for 3 days straight!

It looks like Im asked to travel again!
It looked like i was off the hook! But they found me im my rathole! I expect to travel somewhere around march
Cant say im to chuffed!
if there is fabbsters which could keep me updated with latest gossip safety adivice etc i would be over the moon happy!
its going to be lot of vessel inspections so expect guards drivers and full show
