I'm planning to get the motorbike out as much as possible this year....

Scuppered all ready....

My nephew passed his test, so we took the bikes out for an 80 mile run today, easy right?

Wrong....

First ever breakdown.

Managed to get back to dundee before it happened, so it could have been much worse.

Should get it home tomorrow.

Hoping its just the battery thats gone, but its probably the alternator.

Oh no. Just as the weather is ideal for a road trip!

Hope it's an easy fix.

village life, closest main town inverness

Just as well it was daytime, alternator issues developing at night would have been a nightmare

Wee update...

Suzuki vstrom...

Turns out the battery was overcharged and boiled off the electrolite, no fluid = no power.

New battery fitted with overcharge lrotection so it should be ok from now on.

Had it out for a while on fathers day and no issues at all.

Fantastic biking weather too!

Very hot with the leathers on though, need someone to help me get them off....

Me too, i was expecting a hefty cost for parts, but got away with the price of a battery. I generally do all my own repairs, so save on labour doing something else i enjoy to pass the time
