Do fellow fabbers still go hill walking in this cold weather? Where is nice to go for good scenery?

Maybe we could make it a social

If walking alone make sure toy inform a friend where you are going, bad weather can come down real quick at this time of year.

Make sure you also go well equipped with proper clothing, food and drink

The Mountain weather information service website is essential.

There are also plenty of training talks around.

agreed. And just on the door step to.. love the cold air filling lungs as the crisp grass crunches under foot.

Agree, pentlands are nice, but a bit out the way for me.

I'm still trying to resuscitate my grass, it died last year

Munros are on my bucketlist, but i personally prefer quicker walks with good views. Happy to come along though if you have somewhere in mind

Got more Munros planned next year.

I'm so looking forward to a chill time alone at my own leisure, can't wait

there is a big difference between winter hillwalking and mountaineering and doing some of the ones you say is more mountaineering in winter and you need the skills to do them .when doing any hill in winter dont bite off more than you can chew and its always better to turn back than keep going if the weather turns on you

Agree, hence the specific wording in the title. Yet, mountaineering for me could be a walk for the mountaineers here
