Hi Everyone,
As most of the regulars and my friends know on here i had cervical cancer in 2001 which was treated sucessfully.
Quiet a few of you know i have been experiancing health issues once again.
four weeks ago i was diagnosed with cell changes on the lining of my womb so last thursday i was in hospital to have some biospys taken to grade the cell changes and also to have the lining of my womb removed which was not sucessfull .
Last night i got the news that i have low grade cell changes grade1 .
The treatmen for me now is i have to start hormone injections to shut down my ovaries and in effect what that will do is force me into an earlie meopause
I will also need a hysterectomy which will be done sometime in the new year .
and possibly radiotherapy too.
my reason for bring this to the forums is to make people aware of how important heath checks are if something doesnt feel right please please have it checked out its always better to face things head on than to bury your head in the sand.
Id also like to take the chance to thank all my friends on here for words of comfort and support i know ive not been the best of friends to you over the past few months often pushing you away when i should have been grasping you all with both hands (which i intend to do now )if you will let me lol
special thanks to my dear dear friend Carolann aka Serengeti whos been my rock for months now and always been there for me .

Thanks for sharing MissD and I hope your treatment goes smoothly. I have also had abnormal cells removed, fortunately for me it was successful. It is so important to get any abnormality checked asap!

Were all friends here jacs, a place where people can offer opinion and support in times of need.
Things like this effect people differently in various ways i have no doubt that others close to you will be there holding your hand till you reach the light at the end of the tunnel, fellow fabbers included.

great topic to bring to everyones attention. Its definately something that everyone should be checking and going for regular screenings etc.
Its a topic very close to my heart as been though issues connected to this myself and my sister is going through a lot of similar to you just now miss d.

.its true what u say jacs and great advice get things checked dont ever putthem off .Theres a vey very strong cancer gene on my ex,s sie of the family.my mother -inlaw brother inlaw nd his son have all passed away with cancer and a neice has had a kidney removed because of cancer my own 2 kids and lots ofthe rest of the family have been checked out no cancer has been found but jacs they all know to watch themselve.Jacs u take care an know all your fab friends are here for youxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

I hope they get it all sortred , Good luck for the futer, ! I had a full hysterectomy , when I was 39,due to an illness ,(NOT CANCER) ,I have had no problems till now!!,
I saw on the embaressing bodies programe , a lady, who had the same as me , and had been doing the same as me for yrs, 
S I went to docs , and i was correct , I have a double prolapse, so got my appt to see Gyno ,On the 1st dec, I knew somthing was not right , but thank god i saw that Programe!
Its not serious Like your jacs , but still need surgery,
Sooo GO TO Docs , and get anything checked out !!

Words can not express the sorrow I feel for you. You are doing a brave and wonderful thing by sharing with our community. Lets hope that it makes us all think of looking after ourselves.
My friend Died last year from Breast Cancer, she ignored her lump as she was scared. When she plucked up the courage, she was advised to go for double breast removal, She only had 3 years after the operation. It spread to her lungs.
Take Jacs words to heart and go for a smear or if you feel any changes in your breasts go get it checked.
IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE. |

A silly girl here that ignored smear test pleas (well if i have it i dont want to know and die happy)other half noticed a lump so off i trotted .Yes was told the worst but hey radio therapy and removal of the growth and im alive .I will never miss another smear in my life .
Never think you are ok or it may be to late ,not everyone gets happy endings.

I had 3 borderline smears over a year and a half and the 4th one showed changes went to hospital had a biopsy and it showed I needed something called loop treatment (years ago it was called lazer treatment)This all took place in May this year and thankfully 2nd biopsy showed all was ok huge huge relief!! Have to have smear tests every 6 months for the next 2 year but thats nothing to what could have happened!!! As Jacs said please please keep up with your smear tests!!! xxxx |

So glad you got checked over too hun and all is well for you, my first dealing with cervical cancer was treated by having 1/4 of my cervex removed by whats called cone biopsy
and treatment after that with lots of smear follow ups until 5 years ago then back to 3 yearly.
My last smear taken in just jan this year was fine so whats happening to me now is totaly something new but i knew something wasnt right and had it checked out so glad now i did.
Truth is i dont know what lies ahead for me now and im scared shitless but need to face it head on as its not going to go away through ignoring it .xxx

Jacs my darling. I have said before and I will say it once more. Life is what happens when you are busy making plans. Life throws us all a curve ball from time to time, god knows I have had a lot curve balls myself in the past 5 years. It is easy to say that you need all the resilence you can muster, the support of your family and friends and all thoughts of we band of fellow swingers to rise above it all. However thats what is needed as well as a determination of survive all that life throws at you. I know you are the brave, determined type with a soft heart, I also know that you will see this battle through triumphant. JimXXX |

I have been asked by a few for my reasons in posting whats happening to me in here , so i want to try an explain.
The last time i was going through cervical cancer my kids were all young only 13,10 and 6 i didnt want them to worry about me since they were only young .
In a way i actually blocked out the fact that i did have cancer i pretend to all my family and friends that i was fine when inside i was falling apart and i wasnt coping very well, i ended up in a very dark place and suffered with depression for a very long time.
I realised i was doing it again a few weeks ago pushing people away telling them i wasnt worried when i was terrified i stoped speaking with people who matter the most to me and causing arguments when there was nothing to argue about so with a much clearer head on now im determind im not going to push people away im not going to lock myself in my room and speak to no one for days at a time im going to embrace everyday as it comes and hope that tomorrow will be better than today.
As i said in an earlier post this is a community of friends for all sorts of reason some very close friends,some just chat friends and some who havent even met yet take time to wish someone all the best to me thats something very special you dont find in everyday life so treasure your friends here as well as in your real life .

I'd also like to second and reiterate you call for people to look after themselves and get regular checks.
I have not long returned to swinging following a lengthy illness.
A word to the guys also - testicular cancer doesnt only affect older guys. Check yourself there regular and seek advice from your doctor if you have the slightest concern, the earlier the better. |

miss dynamite i dont know u i went thru the same thing in may 2000 had full hysterectomy the lot im one of the lucky ones ...wish u all the best hope u make a full recovery mean that from the bottom of my heart ...its good that people like u have the inspiration to make people realise go for all tests no matter wat the outcome ....your family and true friends will help u thru this..as said wish u all best xxx |

one thing i have to say dont ever try to explain yourself to anyone, if people dont wish to read the posts they dont have to xxx
ive got 3 people i know very well going through dufferent cancer issues, my friends mum is probbly the worst, unfortunately she i the one making plans for her kids future and her grandkids  last year she was really ill and had lots of breathing problems and i advised her to go to the doctor, in my heart of hearts I had the gut feeling it was cancer but I didnt say out loud as felt it wouldnt be accepted but i have this horrible ability to have a sixth sense about bad things
her daughter, my friend has an alcohol addiction and so much time was spent fussing over her no doctors appointments were ever made this year the diagnosis was made lung and brain cancer and its pretty much too late to do anything, prolong it yes cure it no
sometimes life can be chaotic and other things going on but no matter what you cant ignore hea;th issues that last longer than a week etc get it checked out

Sorry to hear about your friends too.
your so so right about gut feelings and that inner feeling things aint going to be all right you know your own body and know whats happening to it i know people on the out side looking in mean well when they say dont worry it will be ok when all you want to do is scream at them how the hell do you know that when deep inside you know its not going to be ok .
so please yet again people if you get that gut feeling that tells you something isnt right please have it checked out it could save a lot of heartache and possibly your life .
ps:Alcohol addiction is something i do know a lot about and i hope your friend finds the help she needs too xxx |

Maybe a way for you women to get moving and off for your smears is if you cant do it for you then do it for your family ....five minuets of embarassment is surley better than yours of heartache without you |

Today i was back at the hospital and im now going in for my surgery in six weeks time or less .
I still have 12lbs to lose thats only 2lbs a week im sure i can do that ..yikesss i hope.

agree with you - had a lump in my breast and ended up with breast cancer 2 years running, 2 mastectomy's, reconstructions, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, ovary removal later - and an early menopause i am cancer free so everything can be beaten!!

As most of you know today was ment to be the day of my surgery been up since 430am with nerves thinking about it had a bath to relax me and was just about ready to leave for the hospital when they called me to tell me they dont have a itc bed for me and my op had been cancelled grrrrrr arghhhhh the good old NHS eh .
Im now going in next week to Rosshall dont know what date yet im wating for them to call me back either today or tomorrow and let me know ...GOD IM SO STRESSED Anyone got a cure good job i still got a sence of humour eh lol |

Another wee update on my progress
well my surgery is over and my consultant decided to do a full hysterectomy instead of just removing my womb which means ive had my womb cervex faloppian tubes and ovaries removed and im now waiting for pathology reports to see what happens from here.
I feel like ive been run over by a truck lol but im otherwise doing great and hope to be home somtime tomorrow or saturday.

just got my pathology report and im a very happy woman the report shows that everything has been contained within in the womb nothing on my ovaries or tubes that showed any concern and consultant said my cervex was checked carefully and there was no evidance of further abnormality there .
ive got an aftercare appointment on the 5th april to discuss what happens now im so relieved xxxx |

Thanks for the link. I rarely ventue into the Forums. Other sites Ive used make it easier to access & I really do get lost in here. Sorry to hear the new on the cells, but good to see loads of the folk I met at your BD party including Lusty, Bren & co all gathering round. Hope it all goes well & knowing how cheerful & positive you are you'll come through this smiling.

glad you are ok i know how hard it is i was diagnosed 4 yrs ago with cervical cancer i had a radical hysterectomy at he age of 34 but i came through it and im glad to say im all healthy now lol even got myself a toyboy xxxx
