"Smear test day for me I hope all you ladies get regularly tested it's not nice but much needed  "
Hope all goes well such an essential test to get for all females ..
5 mins of discomfort but a lifetime reasurrance if getting tested regularly x |

Maybe you got them for health reason since 18 but normally routine ones never used to start till in your 20's ..hopfully its changed now tho as sadly can be too late for some girls |

I was on the pill at 18 so thats when they started. I actually find that as i have got older they have become more painful. Not sure if thats due to having a coil fitted. |

It's something we never look forward to ladies but essential I had a biopsy 2 years ago as a result of abnormal results but thankfully it was nothing |

In France, it is up to the gynaecologist and the patient to talk about it and decide.
It is recommended to start when you become sexually active or starts taking the pill.
What I like about the French system is that most women has a gynaecologist. He or she will follow them all their life and will even be the family gynaecologist.
Here it feels like they are inaccessible! And there only when there's an issue which is not the role of the job initially

Same as you 17 for first one because of the pill and they are becoming more painful and I don't have a coil. I had put it down to the rough nurse.

And sure they go deeper to make sure to have enough tissue so they don't have to call you back to redo it |

I had a smear when I was 19, all the girls in my area went for smears aged 19 yrs. I wasn’t on the pill nor had I been to the doctors for years before it they just sent for everyone |

I'm due mine next year. It's become more bearable as I've got older as I learned to control my breathing while it's being done, which makes the muscles inside more relaxed. Good luck to everyone getting it. It's not the nicest experience but it's an important test  x |

I had mine last week. They don’t use lube now as it affects the results and apparently my cervix is very high.
Remember to check your breasts as well.
Guys should be checking their testicles. I’m quite sure a regular partner would feel any changes as well.

I've had mine recalled so I'm back for it again next week .
It's never a pleasant experience but I'm thankful we have access to such a life saving test. |

I had mine 3 months ago and took 7 weeks to get results. All sorts goes through your head. Why is it taking so long, have they found something etc... You can actually make yourself ill with the length of time it takes and the worry that comes with it but thankfully all clear and no more stress. Hopefully all good for you ladies too. |
