There are quite a few people of a number of job roles playing the part here, nearly all deemed lower skilled and lower pay grade by this government of the last 10 years until now.
Funny how the millionaires and billinioners suddenly dont want to tell us to thank them daily for creating Victorian value jobs and Victorian value living conditions
Now where is my soap box |

Totally agree so many folk in all areas on minimum wage expected to keep going too .. cleaners drivers shop workers while bosses work from home deserve a huge thank you too .. I just thought those that put themselves at greatest risk looking after our loved ones deserved recognition |

The thanks that all the people who are working though this and keeping us safe is well deserved and I thank each and every one. But yet we still insist on kicking them when they are in the thick of it by buying everything on the shelves so they can shop after their shifts, verbally abuse them when other people have bought all the toilet rolls, buy face masks and gloves when we clearly dont know how to use them and ignore all advice so it makes their job harder. And those same people stand outside their doors and give their applause, this virus has shown parasitic hypocritical of our society. And when it's over we will go back to normal and they will still be low paid, treated like crap and forgotten about. This is the time as a society that we need to change. Write to MSP's telling them that nhs workers need more money, write to parliament to abolish zero hours contracts and raise wages for low paid workers who we have relied upon to keep the country alive......that's my rant over. |

I’m not in favour of branding whole groups of society hero’s, angels or whatever.
There will be those who are going above and beyond but there will also be the work shy ones who self isolated at the first chance and taking the plaudits. People choose careers knowing full well the risks and challenges it can bring. |

Totally agree with this. Everyone is a cog in the whole process and take them out and it doesn't work. Everyone should be doing whatever they can which just depends on each individual circumstance. The hero worship or the clamour to be up there as key or most important is not what it should be about |

I heard back yesterday from NHS and filled the fast track form in through email. also the Red Cross.
The job description for NHS is on the ward, filling out meal cards, coercing patients to eat it, stocking cupboards. Doing shop runs and helping nurses with tasks.
Out of pocket expenses covered as well. |
