This is the new profile of Studio 69 (old imagine bar), a meeting point/bar/new nightclub in the Yumbo Center in Playa del Ingles for open and like-minded people.
It's a nice fun party club with a good atmosphere, it´s going to be shagadelic.
How to find us....
If you walk past the minigolf on your right hand you pas the parkingplace, past the Hyper Dino, you go down the stairs at Windsor Garden restaurant, turn left and we are in the corner
If you have sparkles at your left hand you pass the Mexican restaurant and then turn right, you will see us in the corner
If you go pass Fund Grube you go down one stairs, turn right and you will see us in the corner
open every day from 20:00 till late

This Saturday: pink party
All week we support The Long Walk. This group of people walk across the island in 3 days to collect money for the Breast Cancer Association and food aid in Arguineguin. This year the benefits also go to La Palma due to the urgency. So far we collect 700 euro all together. Let's see if together we can collect a little more. Come dressed in pink and support The Long Walk with us !!!

I wouldn’t have thought it would be done in malice, was it?
We’ve went into (the Imagine of old) early in the night, been first in and stood and chatted for five minutes and then had Saskia say something along the lines of are you going to fucking sit down?
We’ve just bantered back and said are you going to fucking get us drinks then or leave us thirsty?
We’ve even made jokes about Tonny being the grumpy one, which on their “who’s in tonight” board had the grumpy one written on it the next day.
Knowing Saskia I would have thought it was a conflict of humour, as opposed to malice. Though I do appreciate not everyone likes swearing.
If it was, give them the benefit of the doubt. We’ve found them to be great hosts, company and have enjoyed their humour. We’re also happy to now have the option a venue in the Yumbo to start our night off.
Though when we go later this month, I might take a swear box into Studio 69. I reckon I might just get a free night of drinks.  |

You guys are the most relaxed and easy going couples we know. You also know how to have a banter so for you to make a comment on here there must have been some malice there. You can also give the banter back. We swear but you guys know the difference between it being in jest or malicious. We've sat patiently waiting for Imagine bar to full up and felt uncomfortable as the staff did not engage so can see why you left xxx |

Wow. We thought it was just us. We visited a few days ago. Entered the bar at around 9 ish, the club was almost empty just a few people say at the bar and a couple outside. We politely explained we might come back later, it was a genuine intention. Sadly Saskia made some impolite quip as we left the bar. Of course we never returned and never will. Good riddance, this is not the way to run any hospitality venue, whatever the theme. |

I’m just home from PDI and can say I had a similar bad experience in this bar on my first night. I was going to the bar alone so messaged ahead of time and was told to ask for Saskia and she’d show me around. Got there and she did say hi but that’s all I got. Not one other interaction apart from taking my money as I left. Wasn’t made feel at all welcome unlike every other swinger bar I visited. Can also say that Busybees247 are the nicest couple you could meet and hadn’t a bad word to say about anyone so last night must have warranted the comments. |

Well never got a welcome in the old place as a single or as a couple. Happily and truthfully posted my bad experience when I met friends there 2 years ago in the forums.Experienced the keyboard imagine warriors that hadn’t a clue who I was but obviously needed to feel better about themselves. Got barred from a greedy girl afternoon that the lady invited me to . They then left for the cinema . I await the abuse for this post |

I don’t expect you will get abuse. It’s a forum where a particular post is about a topic and then discussed.
Typically you have a debate, people share their ideas, views and opinions, for the most part they are justified. Contrasting maybe but can also be constructive whatever side of the fence it sits.
A couple have had a negative experience, which others have supported.
Others have questioned the experience, as it is contrasting to their experience, which they’ve responded to.
I know many clubs do have profiles on here and they do read and take on board comments to improve their businesses.
Some clubs may also respond to share their side of the story.
But just because you have an opinion, it doesn’t mean you will get abuse, especially as the recent posts in the thread has arguments from both sides of the fence, which have been appreciated and respected from what I can see.
For us, we’ve always had a warm welcome in their bar. And later this month we are taking our friends, where I’m sure they’ll have an opinion whether they like it or not. |

Just been into the new place and were welcomed with open arms, as always. Christopher Burke was great and had everyone singing along to his large repertoire.
Yumbo was bouncing like old times.
Give these guys a chance, they’re trying to make a living. If you can’t saying anything nice, then mark it down as an off night and just don’t go back. |

In my opinion there are a few centres a lot more run down.
Yumbo is busy though and has some great restaurants like Wapa Tapa, Supermario, Royal and El Chacho.

There’s a few centres that you could have the same argument. But we liken it to Blackpool as some say Blackpool has a traditional, dated look.
But you know what? We love Blackpool. The heart is in the people, pubs/clubs and entertainment. We always have a blast.
If we want a bit of aesthetics, then we head to the equally lovely Maspalomas and Meloneras.
But for us, we wouldn’t have the Yumbo any other way. Always a great night there for us and excited to have a swinging venue within.
We’d say, give it another shot but with a different approach. There’s some fantastic places to eat, drink, dance, sing.

If you think Yumbo is tired and run down, you'd faint if you did a tour of Cita Centre.
Without swinger friendly bars very much doubt we would set foot in the place.

A few of us went in last night later on. Its a fantastic meeting place. Hosts are just amazing as are the staff .
If you fancy somewhere clean, and enjoyable for a meet up then get yourselves down there. We are going back tonight for sure. |

We visited this bar every night when we was out in September. We were always made to feel more than welcome by Saskia, Tonny and Yvette. We were often first in the bar at the evening and had a great laugh. Someone always has to be first to sit down otherwise a bar will always remain empty. We had an amazing night at their fundraiser for the long walk..winning best dressed..haha!
Can't wait to go back again in November...a birthday to celebrate, so should be great fun. |

I have to agree.
If I (Jordan) am honest. I don’t usually watch acts and shows. I’ve seen a few when walking past Ricky’s and Sparkles and whilst I appreciate them, I’m more of a sit down, grab a rum and socialise.
That said, I thought Miss Ash was fantastic. A great performance and brought the audience together with great songs, quizzes, fun and games and comedy. We had friends leaving and sadly had to leave half way through. In fact, we left Studio69 later than expected and they were texting us to ask where we were.
I really like what Studio69 are doing and it does offer something different to the swinging community. I wish them the very best and would recommend when Studio69 post an update about Miss Ash performing to get your arse down there.

As many of you already know, we have a collection tin for one of our favourite local animal charities Pet Pals GC.

We are all animal lovers and both Yvette and Miss Ash are volunteers for this wonderful charity that saves many animals every year.
Our collection tin is almost full and we would love to see it full this week!!!
On Tuesday the amazing Christopher Burke will perform his fantastic jukebox show. Pop a few coins in our tin and ask for a song and Chris will sing it for you. And if you love to sing, you are welcome to sing along!
On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday our one and only Miss Ash will do pics for Pet Pals during and after her fabulous shows.
We hope you all will help us to support this amazing charity! |
