The fab people who come in early June are going to be very lucky. If the Covid allows it (and it seems that it will be so, we cross our fingers) the Maspalomas Carnival will be held on those dates, from June 9th to 19th

June is a lot quieter on the swinging side of things, if you want it busy then the busiest months are Oct, Feb & March. we've been in June before and although it's a lot quieter it's still a fab place and there's always fun to be had. |

I’ll be there 12th to the 22nd June staying at Tagoror Beach Apartments which I can fully recommend. It is just around the corner from Gold and the Sandia centre. You can virtually fall out of 2 x 2 back into your room lol. |

Theres a nice Italian Restaurant on ground floor at the complex at Meloneras Playa.
Also if you like Indian, there is a superb Indian called Misbah on the Meloneras Promenade. |

As a business over here (and this is just MY opinion on MY business) Carnival can be a NIGHTMARE for hospitality venues on the carnival/parade route. People only want to use the toilets (and leave a mess behind), not buying any drinks or food as they buy beforehand at supermarkets. And not to mention other things that some people do during a festival/carnival/parade, which if it happens on your premises you get fined and/or shut down.
So it's sometimes not feasible to open and can cost more to actually staff for control and clean up purposes.

Yumbo will be the main place that the carnival/parade/events will be held. Not sure about the bars and clubs in Cita and if they are opening.
