What’s happening with all this chaos at Manchester aiport
Has anyone got any information as it’s the first we have heard about it
Travelling to Gran Canaria in 4 weeks time and hoping things might have calmed down by then

After seeing the footage on the news of ques going out of the main building and into the carpark, chaos in the security area, people missing flights, I so pleased we chose to fly from Newcastle. |

Yep massively worried about this . I live 20 mins from the airport . Have a mid morning flight time and am planning getting there 4 hours b4 . Have friends who work there and they say the whole system
Is broken. Made everyone redundant during the pandemic and can’t recruit quick enough. New security staff are fine during classroom training but as soon as they go “on the floor” and see the chaos they walk out immediately
They don’t expect it to improve for months although a friend flew 6.30am and went through 25 mins
Think it gets worse as it gets later in the day |

We passed through Manchester Airport last week, we had bought the security Fast Track passes, we breezed through in under 20 minutes. However, the normal queue for security was horrendous, I wouldn’t have liked to have been stood in it. If you can buy the Fast Track security passes it’s definitely worth it |

We must have got to security at a lucky time last week, 10 minutes and we were through in the departure lounge. Talked to one of the security guys who admitted it had been horrendous and that we were lucky that morning.
Coming back though, Malaga airport was a nightmare with massive queues at passport control  |

"Just tried to book fast track
Fully booked every one has found out about it "
Hope it's better than Fast Track at Dublin airport, they stopped selling it too....took an hour and a half to get through it, at 4:30am!! |
