We have never stayed there before but would hate to end up on ground floor

Agreed - anytime we’ve stayed at Gold and looked down into the ground floor room patio area it’s in perpetual darkness…. |

If you want a pool/sea view book south facing orientation otherwise your balcony is on to the street & the higher the floor the better, in our opinion |

We have stayed at gold many times . We prefer the ground floor as they have a terrace area with a gate that leads straight onto the pool area . Great in the mornings when I nip out the back gate to the pool and grab a coffee . If you want a upper floor then the south facing ones are the obvious choice . There are also junior suites that over look the pool if your happy to pay extra. |

Personally I think higher the better in terms of view. We always pay for south facing and usually get 8th floor. If booking direct with Gold prices go up with the floors, one price for 2-3, 4-6 and 7-9 with ground floor terrace usually slightly dearer than floors 2-3. Views on floors 2-3 can be limited as overlook rooftop sunbathing area on floor 3 and ventilation from kitchen. Junior Suites are on 2-3 floor and overlook pool. They are a little bigger but again personally I prefer the other rooms with the nice semi circular turquoise sofas and round table to the sofa bed set up and tv on a pole in suite. There are some other suites which are basically two rooms with bed in one and sofa in other. Master suites are the most expensive and have a large wrap around balcony overlooking pool.
TVs on floors 7-9 are a bit bigger and have capability for watching Netflix if you have a subscription |

The junior suites are amazing
We dropped on last May by getting a free upgrade to one over looking the pool
Never stayed in a hotel room as big before
brilliant hotel all round
Even better to know that the hotel has lots of like minded people staying at the same time
Even though some knock at the wrong door haha |

We are there late October 2023. Question for you regulars there...does it have a nude sun bathing terrace like some of the PDI hotels do? It is our 8th trip to GC, but we have never stayed there. Thank you. |

It doesn’t - at least not officially! There’s a nice sunbathing terrace with jacuzzi etc however if you want a change from the excellent pools below. We’ll be there the last two weeks of October and can’t wait !! |

The Gold is a nice quirky hotel right bang in the middle of the action, pretty much above one of the clubs. It's well maintained, decorated well, decent facilities and you can come and go discreetly.
The Mrs loved the hotel and she is hard to please. With most accommodation being very dated in PDI, or badly run, the Gold hotel stands out.
If you want an all inclusive with all the frills this isn't the hotel for you. It caters perfectly for most swingers, and does it well. |

Could have wrote that myself! Totally agree. I live a stressful work life. Arrive at the gold twice a year and holiday begins immediately! Near the clubs, bars, great Hyperdino. No kids! Do I mention no kids!! |

Stayed last week in September. Can’t recommend enough. Super clean, friendly staff and well situated.
Not nude but was still nice to wander around in just a thong xx |

"Is there any nude sun bathing at Gold?"
Unfortunately not!
Popular with swingers but could take a few days to spot who’s a swinger and who’s not
It’s a beautiful hotel
We have visited both gold and Hl suites hotel , got to say Hl Suites has to be our favourite hotel and it had a lovely naked sunbathing area on the rooftop with lot of friendly people |

Totally agree, The Gold is a perfect hotel for us! It’s lovely and clean, staff are all first class, perfect location and NO kids anywhere! We have stayed here 3 times without any faults or complaints. We have found hotels in GC can be dated and a bit run down, however this does not apply to The Gold Hotel x |

Looking at booking Gold for later this year, I understand that there is not nudist / naturist area but wondered what the score is with the Sauna? Can you be naked in the sauna, I stayed at the Princess a few years back and I’d say 80% we’re using the sauna as nature intended.

We are staying at Gold for the first time in April from the 22nd. Normally stay at Venus Star but fancied a change as their bars and restaurant close at 8pm. Just wondering if the bar and restaurant are open later. Get its not a nudist hotel but we can always go to the beach. Any comments welcome. Thank you. See you in April. |

Gold hotel bar is not open in the evening. It’s a really quiet peaceful hotel. But it is next door to Sandia centre that has 2x2 and Sweet Moments and about 200 metres from Cita and Yumbo so you are never far away from socialising and fun xx |
