Hi all, has anyone any idea why the price of going to Gran Canaria has gone through the roof? Just looked at booking a holiday and it's shot up in year to nearly double.... don't think it's just Brexit etc (gutted.com) |

Thank you for replying, an don't think so, just think the price has jumped up a fair bit since last time I was out there, flights are cheap, but accom seems so much more than before, nice to know someone replies hahahaha |

No problem. We go twice a year, package, but haven't really noticed a great increase ourselves. |

Just had a look and may isn't too bad... plus it's near Kasbah centre which I like, and then I'm not too far from beach and nice stroll to the dunes and nudist beach yippee |

We are here the now and it's very busy with the problems around Egypt and Europe the planes are all landing full so hotels have increased prices as with sum of the restaurants that we have visited, don't no if this is usefull. |

I think the biggest factor is the unrest around Egypt and of course the huge problems in Turkey and Tunisia at the moment. Holiday companies and hoteliers alike are making the most of people wanting to travel to a relatively safe place. Even mainland Spain is still on alert after last year's warnings of potential terrorist threats along the Costa s. Make of that what you will Gran Canaria still gets my vote. Looking forward to going again mid May which at the moment seems more reasonably priced. I know it's pride week beginning of May but that doesn't stop other Fabbers enjoying good deals too. |

I came out here for 7days on the 20th of dec. And am still here now. The weathers got so much better so thought i would stay on another 8 days. And am staying right next to the Kasbah. |
