Benidorm Fiesta Nov Roll Call

Have booked for 12th nov for just over a week with partner, what is the fiesta all about as was not the reason for booking but happened upon that it is going on while we are there , any info would be helpful ?? |

Benidorm November fiesta runs for nearly a week in the middle of November every year. It is actually a religious festival and is mostly centred around the old town and is the big event of the year for the local Spanish community.
Lots of parades, shit loads of fireworks (this is Spain after all) culminating with the big parade through the streets of the old town (take a carrier bag for the sweets) and the grand firework display in front of Dove park, which is always on a Wednesday (13th this year)
If you just stay in and around the bars in Levante you will hardly know that it is happening. That is until the day after the official end of the fiesta (Thursday 14th this year)
What started 20 odd years ago as a few people getting dressed up has now turned into the biggest fancy dress party in Europe and centres around the streets and bars in the Levante area.

So now that Cupido has sadly closed we will have to think of a new idea for some sport and entertainment.

We are only driving up for a couple of nights (13th/14th) so will miss that.
To be honest now that Cupido has closed we will probably give the swinging a miss unless someone has a good idea for Wed 13th after the fireworks.
Before anyone suggests it, "back to my hotel room for a shag" is not what we would call a good idea.
I think Thurs 14th (fancy dress day) will be a bit too manic to do anything. |

ah gutted to hear cupid closed, was looking forward to my first visit.... are there any other clubs in Benidorm or swing friendly bars?
i am there from 14-17th staying near harbour in old town. going alone so this could be a very boring few days lol |
