Due to Coronavirus, there is now a 15 day lockdown, on the Costa Blanca area. Bars and restaurants not allowed to open.lets hope we can get back to normal soon. |

We've been out shopping this morning.
As said above, all bars and restaurants are closed and will remain so for at least 15 days.
Playa Flamenca Saturday market was cancelled and I expect the Sunday "Lemon Market" at Guardamar will go the same way.
Supermarkets are very busy but not as chaotic as some reports I've read. Al Campo even had a good stock of toilet rolls. 
Shops in general are not covered by the ban (yet) but a quick look around Zenia Boulevard showed that around 50% had closed voluntarily, but the other 50% were open as normal. How long that lasts will remain to be seen.
There are curfews in some areas (mostly down in Murcia) but I'm reading that the Spanish government is proposing a nationwide curfew to come into force very soon.
As said on other threads Jet 2 has cancelled all flights to Spain and others are almost certain to follow suit.
We are due to fly back to Germany on the 23rd but I'm doubtful that it will happen.
Anyone thinking of driving to Spain (or back to the UK) check the situation in Catalonia. We are reading that the whole region is closed so the normal routes probably won't be available. |

I can only speak as to how it was before lockdown. What will come out the other side is anyone's guess.
Among expats and visitors the scene is quite small, maybe 15 - 20 active couples and a few single guys in the area. Most seem to arrange their private meets on here or other sites.
There are 5 swinger clubs in Alicante the most popular for international swingers is Jardin del Eden. The others tend to cater more for the Spanish market.
South of Alicante there is only one club (Besos) at Guardamar. It does have the distinction of being the only British owned swinger club in Spain.
There is another club in Elche and one more down at Santomera (Murcia) However both are very Spanish and get very few international visitors, so your language skills would be put to the test.
Since the demise of the Casa Fiesta parties that's really about it. |

Besos club is under the licence of a discoteck as such we can open in phase 3.

Yet another update.
Spanish Goverment has now changed its mind yet again regarding Clubs, Discoteck and night venues will not be aloud to reopen until further notice.
This was due to certain idiots in Lleda province having family parties of more than 15 people.
1 of which tested positive for covid 19.
So now they have back tracked there descion.
There going to be having a meeting soon to decide the final outcome. |

From the information we are getting it is looking likely that we will be able to drive down to Spain from 1st July.
If all goes well then we will set off on that day.
That will be 16 weeks since we left Spain in March. The longest spell I've had away from Spain since 2003. |
