Does the whole Unicorn thing only apply to women? or is a signle male that meets couple also a Unicorn?

It applies when there is scarcity, so a man meeting a couple is not really a unicorn as it can be quite common place.
But in some instances, it may be that a couple consider finding the right man their own unicorn hunt. |
