Meet friendly bars in London?

We are looking to meet someone for the first time. We are not really into going to a full on swinging club though and wondering if there are any bars that have a "knowing" crowd but are laid back and welcoming to new-comers.

We also understand that the unicorn is a tough ask but we are holding on to our dreams (mostly hers!).
