Most club nights will have some form of group chat you can join so you can mingle before you go.
Other than that you have to go in open minded and realise it's not all that daunting. You'll be over the nerves in an hour.
If you're very shy, clubs may not be the best place to be. You need to be able to talk to people there rather than just stare in the hope they'll notice you.
