I think you can't beat seeing things and handling them in person before you buy. Maybe try a market like the BBB (Birmingham Bizarre Bazzar). Lots of traders, many who also manufacture their own gear personally. Also a great mix of people and outfits and live kink demonstration. |

Yes, I definitely recommend BBB. There is also London Alternative Market, but it's nowhere near as good since the change of venue.
If, however, you'd prefer online only, OP, some sellers from BBB and LAM do have their shops on Etsy. |
