Get yourself along to a social. Nearly everyone I meet are folk that I've met first at a social. There are so many timewasters out there - by going to a social you can see who is real and who you click with.

You seem like a nice guy but that's the problem, your profile looks like it should be on a dating site and the fact you asked for tips from women indicates to me that's who you want to meet and meeting couples is another avenue to do that.
