320 people died from HIV/AIDS in the UK in 2013. Around 4000 have died in the first 3 months of this year from flu.
But hey, let's not let a homophobic attitude taint the statistics right? |

It achieves the opposite effect for me. If a man is so inexperienced with women that he believes they all like or dislike the same thing it puts me off a bit. |

Can you direct us to the source of the facts that you're quoting please? As a couple who occasionally enjoy consensual and responsible bi experiences on here, we're slightly alarmed at the potentially inaccurate statistics being quoted as fact here. How is 1-17 'actively bi guys' qualified? When was this study undertaken?
Seems there's potentially a hint of homophobic stereotyping going on here. |

Totally agree and the attitude is outdated .... Having any std will depend on choices made regarding safe sex, surely? I adore mr who is Bi. He is the first openly Bi guy I have played with and won't be the last. But, just because we play with Bi guys, does not mean we play with every Bi guy. I think it is always about the person and personality involved and the situation .... |

One would imagine that you would find the same amount of bi-women and bi-men in our "community". However every second couples profile states the woman is bi and its not to often you see it stated that the guy is bi.
Let's face it, there is still some stigma against bi men even in a supposedly open-minded community such as ours. Bi women are much more accepted/welcomed/sought after by other women and men in the community. It's not the same for bi men. |

The chances of you having already met a bi guy without you knowing it is pretty high. I'm actually looking for an bi guy at the moment and the amount of 'straight' men who have messaged saying they are bi is crazy. There is nothing on their profiles to hint at them being bi curious or otherwise. |

Who cares!
There's so many guys on here with straight on their profile but turn out to be bi, so I'd think a lot of women have inadvertently played with a bi guy and are blissfully unaware anyway. |

It went to World Health Authority stats.
The stats refer to worldwide figures....so not necessarily valid in UK.
I simply pointed it out as a possible reason why many women choose not to play with bi men.

It was quoted, I remember, but when another forum user asked for a reference/link, there was no response from the person who cited it .....? I think you will always find some research somewhere to support your _iew (eg for seven women gush is pass, so it must be for everyone) but really you need to look beyond that at an individual's sexual habits - safe sex, etc |

I get tested regularly even when I have been with lasses only and practicing safer sex. Last test was 22/05/2015 - all clear.
I can't imagine not getting tested.
