Brighton

Xtasia, Swingers and Fetish club, will welcome socially distanced guests July 4

It will relaunch as a 'non-sexual bar and hotel' with attendees to keep 6ft apart

Temperatures will be taken on door and anyone with high reading will be refused, any thoughts.

Pointless, why waste your money. Look but don't touch. Just wait until it's safe!

"Pointless, why waste your money. Look but don't touch. Just wait until it's safe!"

Because people like the social aspect and can meet up with friends socially

Good luck with that shouting over the music from a six foot distance. Not especially social.

Maybe the music won’t be that loud as it’s designed to be a social atmosphere

Exactly, u go to clubs to play not to keep apart, wait till its safe,

Once your in their no body will be sticking to their 6ft apart, why risk your life, over a small mistake, you rather be safe then sorry even if temperatures are being taken nothing proves the other person aint covid-19 safe

And that is the problem they are not opening as swingers clubs they are opening as bars/pubs so i would rather go to a pub where a significant number of the people there would be people I know and share the same interests

This

I like the socials and I’ll likely go along to Purple Mamba at some point

It’ll be on a par with visiting any regular bar and I’d rather spend my money at a club and show support. They’re businesses like any other and I suspect that if everyone waits until it is totally safe, there won’t be many clubs still around to get back to

Ive posted elsewhere....dont knock these clubs for trying to find some way to generate income to pay their bills and so stay in business so they will be still around when things get back to normal. If you enjoyed the services they offered in the past dont bitch now because they are trying to stay viable so they can offer those facilities to you at a future date. Support rather than knock them.

I suspect that swingers clubs might be particularly scrutinised and I very much doubt it would be less safe than any other public place

I think this is a great idea! Most of our club visits are spent in the bar, making new friends. We'd definitely go!

I'm assuming 'non-sexual' means putting on a show with your partner is out?

Similar here - most of the time we just go to the Attic for the night out. Play is a bonus for us.

As for it not being safe, I really think its getting time to weigh up the risks sensibly, and get back to normality. The odds of catching Covid are slim provided there are measures in place to help lessen that risk. The risk of death is incredibly low. There's also now treatment which reduces the death rate further.

Covid won't be 'gone' until there's a vaccine, and that could potentially be never, so to those who aren't intending to go (which is entirely fine and your personal prerogative) are you going to stay in your home for 6 more months? A year? Forever?

Now, if you're getting on a bit, or you've got those pesky underlying conditions, or you can't wait up to 7 days to see if symptoms manifest before coming into contact with someone who is elderly or poorly, that's a different story entirely, and the risk is much higher for you.

Businesses need to find a way to reopen will probably keep most of the single men away but I'm sure couples will go to catch up with friends

Mind you, I’ve realised that you can only actually socialise in groups of 2 households. And even if you see someone you know while you’re out at a bar, shouldn’t socialise with them. So that’s a bit of a shitter and hinders the social aspect. Hopefully that will be lifted at some point, and I’ll go along then.

It’s going g to be a long time before these are back to normal

If we all want clubs to go back to it’s a way of supporting them or they will just shut

No business can survive with no income for the foreseeable future
