Hi all just testing the water would you guys wear a discrete pin badge to the the pub to let other swingers know that you were on the scene if they had there badges on with the possibility of starting to chat.

That's a really good idea

There was a time they said pampas grass in the front garden was a sign.

I had it at my house before I started swinging, not knowing what it was supposed to indicate. I often got strange looks from people who did not know me.

Whatever we have to identify ourselves the vanilla people will hear about it and they will start to point.

I'm sure this has been discussed before.

Not a great idea.

I think it's a great idea ..... make it something that doesn't seem to obvious to others not in the lifestyle

As if women don't get hard enough time already from men who think we're here to be objectified, let alone wearing a badge that to some, would be interpreted as "up for it" and being fair game.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the visibility of such a badge would be used as a defence in a sexual assault case. Seriously.

No. Difficult to get away politely if someone you don't fancy thinks you are up for it because you are wearing a swingers pin badge.

Swingers don’t need badges to recognise other swingers.

They have outlets and places to find their crushes.

While out in public, they exercise an old-fashioned thing called discretion. Or used to.

Swingers probably still do. “End-aways” evidently do not

I can't see a problem with the people who want to wear a badge wearing one. It wouldn't cause a problem for those of us who choose not to. I'm guessing it would be optional

Not the way it should be but sadly you are right some people do seem to have an issue with being told no even politely

I saw a man in Leeds city centre today carrying a pineapple in his hand. Should I have approached him and asked for a quick shag behind the bins at the back of the market ?

No I wouldnt wear one. I like to keep this side separate. I would also hate to spot people I dont want to spot wearing one. People would find out what it means anyway and then it would be pointless as hardly discreet. I just going around asking if anyone is fabulous on a friday night. No one will know...

I actually dropped that into a conversation with a professional connection on LinkedIn - “have a FAB weekend” - she totally got it!

Would make it easier, don’t some swinger clubs do something like that. Colour bands if you are playing and how ?
