It's mainly because they are ignorant and think that because some venues such as Pleasures ad Rios are so named then, automatically, everywhere needs to follow suit. It is almost an 'in crowd' thing.
Unfortunately Silverleigh and Eureka both get regularly pluralised. in both cases it really rates on me.
Unfortunately it is not going to go away until everyone stops and thinks about it before typing. Don't hold your breath.
