Is it odd for people to use it to message people just because they are very close?

We use this, a lot of our meets have been a spontaneous decision, usually at the end of an evening out. We hop on here to see who’s close and put up a status.

Some of our best meets have happened that way.

we use it when out dogging so we can try work out who's in other cars, doesn't always work but has been useful
