This tickled me. I just received a reply from a lady I messaged on here and she has told me she's not interested (I know crazy) anyhoo she has asked me to block her to make sure I don't bother her again!
I'm all for DIY but is this normal? Should I leave myself a crappy verification aswell? Maybe report myself too lol. |

"Maybe this is an attempt to be nicer than just hitting block... "
How does that work then? I'm not going to punch you in the face but please punch yourself in the face for me. Hmmmmm sounds either lazy or controlling. |

Blocks do run out. So she may have exceded her limit. Admin said ages ago they would extend it but when i block someone now a person i blocked years ago suddenly can chat to me in chatrooms |

Had she just blocked him, the op would be on here with 'she blocked me' or they block me posts.
Every week I get a nice email from a certain someone. Each week I have sent a very nice email declining.
The last one that came in, I said to him, sorry but every week now, my answer wont change so Im going to block you.
He came back with, yes please do, he doesn't want anyone on his block list but it will save him typing an email if I block him.
Many men block women/couples they've emailed and had a 'no thanks' email from, so they dont email again.
If everyone did this, us women wouldn't have block lists like the wall of china
Personally I do not see anything wrong with the request to be blocked
Anyone that emails me, and doesn't suit is more than welcome to block me, I'd rather that, then have to decline or delete again in a few weeks |

I tend to in the main only send "unsolicited" messages to people who repeatably keep looking at me - and if they "delete" my message i know not to contact them again ...that works for me and if i get blocked by anyone i never question it - its just part of FABLAND |

I totally agree but my post is not about being blocked but the rather curious request to block myself! |

"Self blocking sounds really painful
She's being kinder than me.
I lock people in a room with a bottle of vodka and a service revolver in a vain hope they will do the right thing.
Jenny.
"
Haha that sounds like a better way |
