I began 40 years ago with my first wife. We just met people socially and took it from there, so tended to be regulars. We did try the magazine contacts (writing with an SAE and all that) but never got a meet that way.
We had a Polaroid camera for taking pictures of ourselves - quite fun. |

Yes Rendezvous contact mag, I'd forgotten the name. Was never sure how genuine the ads were and would spend ages trying to find one or two you thought weren't miles away.
Polaroid was go to for pics. I was told Boots wouldn't process naughty photos and lady behind counter prob knew your family anyway.
Did actually gets one reply with naked photo included, but fixing a date didn't happen . |

Started as a single guy meeting straight couples and single females in the early 1990s through the classified ads paper LOOT, which developed a big contact section. Surprisingly I used to get many more responses from couples than singles and they nearly always wanted to accommodate. Some were nervous newbies who needed time to chat and feel comfortable first, others were more routined and it wasn't long vefore we would be heading for the bedroom. Had a lot of fun in those days but have never spotted anyone here on Fab I recognise from that era. |
