I hate the way my body looks. I feel disgusted and disappointed with myself a lot of the time over it.
However, I also love the fact its been through so much, its stronger than I imagined, it serves me well, and it's still capable of giving and receiving great pleasures.
So while I don't like how it looks at all, I know that's only part of who I am. |

No. Some days I like it more than others. Definitely embracing my curves more as I have aged but having it ingrained through my youth that only thin was beautiful and something to aspire to, it still consumes you sometimes. |

I grew up in the time of super models and hoping that your bum didn’t look big in your clothes and was always the wrong shape. Now in my late 40’s I’m a lot happier with how I look and happy with my body at the moment…..xx |

No, I'm not really comfortable with my body at all at the moment.
I feel too skinny but if I ever manage to put weight on I feel fat.
I'm also a bit icky about having body hair.
I need to figure out what I would be happy with and set some goals I think. |

Some days yes, some days no, but I’ve definitely become more comfortable and confident as I’ve got older.
As others have said growing up in the 90s we were sold the story that ‘thin is in’ and for me personally there will always be a bit of that in the back of my mind. |

I agree, things have changed for the better. There’s a bigger emphasis on being healthy now and that comes in all shapes and sizes. |

Thirty years ago the ideals were dictated by gay fashion designers who wanted their models to look like skinny young men. Skinny is overrated. You have a gorgeous figure. 😛 |

Exactly and some women don’t look at their best thin and others don’t look as good with a bit extra weight healthy is definitely far better |

Generally yes, although I realise it wouldn't be a bad thing to lose a bit of weight and tone up in a few places. I'm confident enough though to be able to strip off in front of strangers without any hang-ups (although I should probably stop doing this in Tesco's) |

I'm getting happier with my body, but no where near on loving my body.
Training is finally showing, the inches are going. I'm not so worried about the weight, it is going down slowly.

Not ideally but then no one's seeing it so I guess it can be as it is. Gone of the days when I had the swimmer shoulders and sculpted back. I spend more time teaching people in the pool than getting my arse in there. I'm never ever going to be beach body ready |

Body confidence is such a difficult and huge thing especially for females.
My wife went through a stage where she was so low on confidence after kids etc and part the reason stopped playing
But recently has found it again and wears what she has with pride.
She’s not changed much over the years always been curvy BBW but learnt to flaunt it now which is amazing she’s done that

It's good that she's found that confidence again. Life is too short to hate yourself. |
