BLOCKED!!!!!!

I can't remember the last time I blocked anyone and it's a very long time since I blocked someone I've actually chatted to or had a message from.
I used to block people I knew I wouldn't be compatible with and it kept my local updates more relevant.
I've blocked a few for idiotic forum comments and I've blocked some for playing games and dissecting my profile on the forums.
Once someone is on there there don't get a second chance and currently there are 40 something on the list which is tiny compared to some. |

I block for various reasons.. persistent messaging after ive said no thanks, abusive after ive said no thanks, if i know them and have no interest in them, ranty status updates, vulgar pics on the updates.. the list goes on |

I block for a variety of reasons. Mostly - when someone clearly did not read my profile or can't take a polite "no, thank you" for an answer. The hardest block for me is when I have been chatting with someone, with a view of meeting (which hardly ever happens nowadays) and all of a sudden they say something in their message that seems very out of character or crass. I might let the "first offence" slip, but if it gets repeated, that person ends up on my block list. |

Only really block when someone has been abusive or when persistently messaging and not actually reading our replies.
That said everyone blocks for different reasons. Have seen a lot of threads where people use block to filter out the profiles that they can’t meet due to distance/times/accommodation whatever.

We don’t block often. If someone is particularly rude, we’ll block. Then a few people whose photos pop up in local updates that aren’t for us and very occasionally people we really aren’t compatible with in the forum, in terms of approach. |

It is a useful feature for those who do not get the hint from a polite no thank you.
There are some who just want pictures or who say they are going to meet and after a second chance still muck around. I block them.
There have been people who I recognise too and I've blocked them straight away.
I am sure people have blocked me too. |

I've got a very light block list. I don't get messages so that helps. The ones that are I just don't want any interaction with. There's just something in their profile that says "you and I just aren't going to get on". |

I'm also sure I've been blocked by more than a few. Because I've done or said something wrong in their eyes, or just because they don't like me for whatever reason. Like it's been said before it's a useful function. |

In our couples profile, we've had several idiots who have struggled with simple text.
Couples looking for couples doesn't mean my partner wants solo guys and that's it!
So.. on her profile and the couples profile, we must be close to 200 blocked profiles. |

There used to be a guy on our update feed that would repost the same few pictures of his dick every day so that his profile was more visible. That was the first to be blocked, just because I found it annoying.
For anyone who gets upset about being blocked, I wouldn't take it personally. It's just another tool to tailor the experience to your needs |

I will block at the slightest bad feeling I get about someone. Life is too short and I very very much doubt they care.
Got blocked yesterday and it was weird. He'd been randomly messaging for weeks and talking dirty. Last night we were doing the usual filthy stuff back and forth and he sends "I'm (woman's name I don't know anyone with that name) and I'm getting banged" then blocks me. Like, did they think I was someone else the name would mean something to? Who knows. |

Yeah quite possibly, although it would have been politer to have said thanks but no thanks. Although maybe politeness is an old fashioned concept or only works one way on here? Who knows! |

My preferences are patently obvious from the get go therefore it’s abundantly obvious when someone messages who hasn’t even attempted a basic read before scrolling down down to the pics so it’s an instant block ! |

Messaging pests, messaging without any regard to what we have written on our profile page. Advice off men via message on how we should write our profile nicer, it’s because of Wollys like him that we have to make it crystal clear and still they pester. Meet now, hi, got any pics, she squirt, got an hour later are all blocked. So yes plenty.  |

It’s so individual the reasons are aplenty, I’ve been blocked by people in this forum though never messaged them privately or had a disagreement 😂
I often use it myself to remove profiles from my searches that I don’t want to interact with as it helps keep it clear-my memory can be terrible and usernames don’t always stick in mind so I end up opening the same profile repeatedly🤦♂️ |

Automatic block if people are being dicks. On occasion, blocking where you’ve spoken with someone before, didn’t find the conversation going well and accidentally messaged them again (sometimes the site doesn’t show this).
I always send an apology and note I’m setting a block so as not to make the same mistake and cause either parties embarrassment. |

The biggest one for me is, why do they not bother reading the profiles? I see it said on the forums all the time. Is it so hard to spend, in most cases, less than an minute to read it. How brain dead and/or entitled can they be? To me it the kind of like them taking a trip to Florida, seeing a sign saying alligator infested waters and then getting surprised something tries to eat them when they go for a paddle. |

Some people are a little trigger happy with the block button. Personal choice and all that. I think couples in particular feel empowered by using it. I got blocked for having a beard ffs!!! And yes, no doubt I'll be blocked by a few now lol. |

Empowered, in what way? We don't find blocking empowering in any way except for keeping our search results smaller.

They literally said 'no beards' then was blocked. Yes personal choice but really!
Empowered as in they know the ration to single guys is humungously in their favour so they can block at will and advertise the fact on profikes and statuses. As Trump said "they git all the cards"

I generally don't block guys unless they're unpleasant, or can't take no for an answer. I have probably a couple of dozen profiles in my block list. Most people respond reasonably to a polite thank "you for the attention, but I'm not meeting - its in my profile".  |

Normally I'll ignore and then if they send a snarky comment that shows they feel entitled to our time I'll block.
Also anyone who barges in with their fantasy without even asking ours.
Literally had a guy start a message "Hello Cuck!" when we have nothing that suggests we like that shit (we don't!).
Blocked that guy without reading the rest of the message. |

Literally have 100's on our block list - usually try and be polie with a no thanks etc, but then just get the persistent idiots, or some really verbally agressive idiots (always report these ones)...
