Age filters are so brutal, once you pass a certain threshold in my case 55 as I'm now 56 the amount of people you can converse with plumits to the point it hardly worth being on here.
And like I said we're talking a day in some cases, I'm a day older but so are they so the age difference is exactly the same. Hey ho |

Someone will always miss out though. Set it at 56 and you'll miss out when you turn 57. Thems the breaks. The best way to not be restricted by age limits is to get yourself out to group socials and chat with people face to face. |

What would you suggest is an alternative to people having age filters?
Personally I think it's a good thing. I don't want to contact people who have no interest in meeting someone of my age, it would be a waste of their time and mine. We concentrate on people who do want to meet our age group. |

Rather than set a age restriction preventing people contacting you just specify your preferences in your profile. Like I said I can't imagine anyone refusing to talk to someone because they're 1 year older. |

People do specify their preferences by using age limits? Probably just need to suck it up |

A lot of people do have the generic 18-99 range. I think it's good that we have a choice over who contacts us to a large extent.

So basically you’re annoyed because the younger people you want to message have set it so you can’t because they have preferences and you don’t meet them anymore?
That’s the whole point in having the block, so they can’t be pestered by people they’re not interested in.
Plenty others interested in people your age ma man. Nothing to get yourself worked up about |

Most people talk to others with a view to meet and have fun, if someone doesn't want to sleep with another that's over a certain age then there is just no point in chatting imo |

If they did body type filters we would filtered by probably 80% of fab.
We would focus on the people we could make connections with as opposed to the people we couldn't.
Preferences are a good thing to have and people have them for a reason. |

This is what I do but then get people 20+ years outside my age preferences asking to be an exception which I won't entertain. Takes quite a few messages for this to sink in and takes up time.... maybe I should set the filter. |

I thought the sake when I read what the OP had put.
Filters are in place for a reason, and people shoukd respect that and stop whinging about it.
