Waxing is in our opinion better than shaving.
However one thing we do and it works wonders for us, is after either waxing or shaving I have a tub with a mixture of olive oil and sea salt in, then after each bath or shower we just simply rub a good amount onto our waxed area and to date we have never suffered from rash, itchiness or ingrowing hair.
Wife also uses foliating glove.

I would just try to leave it alone & slather cream on it.
I feel your pain. My girl left me rashed last wkend. (After lots oral). Took a few days for it to heal.
So sorry. Hope it heals in time.

this wont help your current situation, however, if you keep on top of it and shave often you wont get a rash atleast i dont. I shave every other day i miss one day out each time. also using a razor specifically set aside for that area and a decent foaming soap agent .
if youre shaving for the first time then trim well before hand.
personally i shave as waxing is just too much bother for a guy that and id not like to rip of my coin purse by accident  |

sudocrem really helps or bepanthen (both for nappy rash) or kamillosan ointment too (kamillosan is for sore boobs from breastfeeding, or nappy rash too)
Use a tiny amount and rub in well - and don't use with your best panties as it can be a bugger to wash out! |

hurts like hell if you have a low threshold for pain. I tried it for awhile, tried shaving, now on hair removing cream for tough hair. I use a timer with it as one minute over 5 mins I am screaming to get in the shower to wash it off. Epilating can leave a painful rash too.
To the OP, sudocrem is the best !!! lay it on thick too.. it dries up any rash better than tea tree oil etc |

3 words - DON'T DO IT!!!!
You want to give it a wee try... take a pair of tweezers and yank the hairs from your bollocks one by one... if you can do that for 10 minutes without crying, then go for it... the alternative would be to apply glue to the bottom of the bath, sit down and make good contact with your danglies and then stand up quickly...
I have a high pain threshold - can wax without so much as a smart... epilator, I thought I had died and was in a new level of hell reserved for very naughty people! |

I use an epilator on my triangle sprinkle with talc and its off in a flash . Cant use it between legs tho far to tender. I agree not for the feint hearted . I got foliculitus shaving pubes so dont do that any more |

This has been really helpful ty to all thats posted... my problem area is the crease at the top of my legs I guess my groin... it gets really inflamed and sore and my knicker elastic irritates it ... I know I know.. no knickers!  |

I too say sudocrem to help heal the area. For future shaving occasions use a good mens razor (womens ones are rubbish) and do NOT use it for armpits before your intimate areas. The armpits have 10 times more bacteria than other areas and most causes of rashes down there is due to this. So keep them separate. Using conditioner is much better than soaps and foams and use VERY cold water afterwards to close pores, it should stop any rash. Moisturise with aqueous cream straight after shaving.
