judgemental people in forums

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

i've never really looked much at the forums before, but they do seem to attract judgemental people who flame others and moralise, declaiming their virtuosity, the anti bareback and bi brigade. Whats happening to the world, this is a swinging site FFS. Are these the same people who have "NO TURNING" and "NO BALL GAMES"signs at their houses? Its fine what they do, just as its fine what I do, but stop damning people for their choices, as it is after all their choice.

And if you agree or disagree with an opinion...its crowd pleasing..arse licking...interesting perspective...

It is a bit like a social gathering where some people talk, others prefer to listen and observe. I (female) love to chat and be sociable on forums not to seek attention but to interact with others and hear their opinions. Its greatalso to have a laugh and banter, makes a refreshing change when working on your computer. And with this site. well there is the naughty sexy aspect to keep me entertained .

Also very true. The difference is between judgment and making assumptions about a whole person. And judgment in itself is not a negative act_ it be comes negate when it is used to label people. Having a preference is ok- Being labelled as a result of that preference is not ok?

Life is as diverse on here as in real life lol

People are people

We are all right and all wrong

God it would be so boring if we were not

However it gives you a chance ta see others points of view and ta get yours across too

There are some that wont budge and are not flexible in anyway

These people should be ignored and avoided

Most are decent rational reasonable people just exploring life xx

if you don't want a collection of opinions.

On a personal note, people that actually have met me say that I am not as harsh sounding as I come across in the forums

some things I bend on

somethings I will never bend on

problem is I am not really a swinger I have here to meet men for random sex

if you dont like me for it, I can live with it, I have lots of friends

Who cares, its supposed to be a bit of fun isn't it ? I think every one is far too busy with their own opinion and view and they all differ depending on your starting view point. Shoot me down someone lol

I considered I said something relevant to the thread, so none apply.

If I post a totally irrelevant post then one might apply

Does the following help? Definitions of "judgmental"

1. Of, relating to, or dependent on judgment: a judgmental error.

2. Inclined to make judgments, especially moral or personal ones: a marriage counselor who tries not to be judgmental.

Another web based one :

adjective

1. of or having to do with the exercise of judgment

2. making or tending to make judgments as to value, importance, etc., often specif., judgments considered to be lacking in tolerance, compassion, objectivity, etc.

someone puts something up on it and others comment on it as they want. Public forum so i guess you can make judgement on what they say.

To a certain extent I agree with SOME of what you say, but the post is very judgemental in it's own right, and of people you don't even know. It's a forum after all. And as they say, "if you can't stand the heat, ...", enough said?

What's Judgmental?

Well actually there is a perfect example earlier on the thread so let's use that one?

"

its a public forum

"

Statement of fact...

"

people WILL post what they think

"

Statement of fact...

"

oh and for the record

I am anti bareback in swinging

"

Statement of a personal preference...

"

those that do are fools

"

That's just plain judgemental - why need to say it?

"

hows that then, so sue me "

So maybethat's what the OP meant by judgmental folks?

Southampton

how can people be classed as judgemental when often the post will start with the words..... i was wondering what others thought about this or requesting peoples thoughts and input???

if the person who starts the thread is not wanting anysort of feed back on their comments(maybe posative or negative ) then it kinda defeats the who point of posting lol ! i do however maybe think some points could be made alil more constructivly.

everyone has different ideas and points of view and all are valid .certainly be boring as hell if we all agreed on everything lol . at the end of the days we are all adults and should be able to have discussions over subjects even if we dont happen to fully agree with the person . you may find during the conversation a point is made thats youve not considered before . doesnt mean you have agree with it or even like it but if it makes you open ur mind alil then isnt that worth while ?

basically though if you dont want hear someone elses opionion then just dont ask for it ..shimples as the meercats say hehe!!
