Right, 'magical' zombies aside for a moment a quick Google has revealed this:
"... technically, zombies would have to be alive in some sense. The original host of the body is dead, but now it would technically be another type of organism. And it would follow that their digestive systems, while it may have changed, would have to work."
So yes.

I suspected as much. If they didn't have a digestive system they could only eat once. Most of the zombies I have seen continue eating for weeks before being playfully batted with a snooker cue or hit with a shopping trolley. |

Okay the MOD have just replied to the zombie poo question:
"Please stay exactly where you are for the next 30 minutes, one of our carefully selected operatives will be along shortly to collect you for a free tour of one of our facilities. Please ensure you have no sharp objects to hand and unlock the door to await his arrival"
It's a bit of an odd reply, but I'm sure the nice man will explain it all when he arrives.  |
