Backup plan

Evening all, have anyone ever had to often prepare backup plans for meets and arrangements from here or anywhere in the swinging scene, as the first meet tends to be a let down for some reason?

No, that usually only happens in my real life.

I'd consider it disrespectful if someone thought they needed a back up plan.

No I haven't had to do that, thankfully. Even if I had a no show, I wouldn't try to find another meet at short notice. I'm too fussy in my selection process

In his defence...he didn't say it was necessarily "someone else".

Nah if I ever had a no show I would just enjoy a night to myself, break out the Ben and Jerry's and find a good movie

We've had occasions where we have booked a hotel and have been let down.

You can't exactly go back over the others that showed an interest in your advertised meet and tell them they are back up or second choice so we see who's about.

Usually no-one, so we usually ravage each other and upload new pictures letting the let downs see what they missed.

Some then try to make contact with rubbish excuses and get blocked.

I've been known to double-book.

Occasionally it ends wonderfully for all concerned

We'd always have a backup plan but it would involve just us. We'd find it disrespectful to plan with someone else just in case. How must it feel for the person 'on standby' so to speak.

We have had to use a backup plan before after being let down but that just involves going to a club instead!

In his defense?? I was in no way offensive to the OP, and just replied to the post in the way that I read it.

I've been a back up plan....at least I assume a message saying ah it's ok, I'm sorted for tonight now implies I was plan b....she contacted me and this was after a few messages back and forth

For first meets off here I always have a back up plan. It means if the meet is cancelled for any reason (which is frequently) I don't have to mope about for the next few hours wondering what to do.
