I don't need romance if you're talking about love.

It's nice to socialise but I can play with someone without being in love with them.

As long as I like them it's all good

This site is vast so it's a hard question to answer.

Some are, some aren't. Honesty will get you far and save you time.

Good luck in your venture

I see romance as a lover being particularly considerate towards me, not necessarily having to spend extra money on me, but just being attentive to my needs like I am with the needs of those I fuck. So if a lover made sure I came before him (which could take hours as I'm super greedy and can plateau if it's really awesome lol)... Then I would see that as pure romance personally lol. Good luck finding yourself a new wife who also loves being f'ked by other men!

Right on the money.

Also, taking dating advice from women is always a very, VERY bad idea.

Romance appears to be subjective (just like most understandings of words are to individuals)... And out if all the women who've replied in this thread two categorically do not want any hint of romance cluttering up their sex lives so clearly the advice given by the menage ie "All women need romance" isn't 100% accurate is it lol... I mean if you're gona ask a question about a demographic then surely asking that category of peeps is a safe-ish bet of what they actually want... Unless you're implying women don't actually know what they want so men must decide for them?!!! Lol. Personally I'd just ask each individual PERSON, instead if generalising then you can't go wrong and turn off anyone.

"ALL. women. need. romance.

Every single one!

Right on the money.

Also, taking dating advice from women is always a very, VERY bad idea.

Why is that then?... Lol"

Various psychology studies have shown that women have no idea what they really want. They find something they like and then perform mental gymnastics to pretend that's what they always wanted. There are of course exceptions to the rule, such as cake. Women love a man who brings cake.

No I'm dead serious. There was a longitudinal study done of speed daters where they asked people to write down what they were looking for in a partner before they went speed dating. Then they followed up with the ones who formed relationships 6 months later and interviewed them with their partners. The similarity between description and end result - bugger all. I was joking about the cake though, my wife prefers chocolate.

I've managed for 12 years without romance as a single person and probably several years as a married person without romance too!

Personally it's nice when it happens but I can live without it.

Sweetie... How does a study involving PEOPLE (I'm assuming they were men and women... and not just a bunch of Lesbians ?!!!! Lol ) translate to being "women don't know what they want"?!...

Tbh I can believe human beings don't know what they want out of relationships because society brainwashes us all to think we should fit into lovely restrictive boxes that cost a fortune in time, money and emotional health to get back out of once we realise what a crock of poo contortion is! lol x

You forgot rule 2,

Rule 2 states that if any man ever learns the rules, then the rules must change.

Of course rule 2 no longer exists

Well i partially agree with you but rather than society i would say that the contents of our sub-conscious are largely intolerable to our conscious and would conflict with our sense of self. Therefore, the average person produces, what scientists call, "bullshit" to try and reconcile the two.

I approve of your usage of " the average person"!! and totally 100% agree with the subconscious patterning we're all subjected to bit...

I think It behooves anyone who becomes aware of this sorry state of affairs, to become a responsible human being and re programme their subconscious so they can embody the sovereign being they were always meant to be!... Which is prexactly wtf I'm currently doing with my god damn self as I only truly understood what the heck was happening with the groundhog crap I've been entangled with during my presence here on Earth in my recent 40th cycle around our Sun lol ... Which as you can imagine, is all keeping me productively busy atm and out of my usual repetitive cycles of trouble...

So you can be sure Mr BrokenBrilliance this is one woman who knows slightly more than the average brainwashed human what she bloody well wants!! lol x

"Why do people who use the term "brainwashed" always come across as idiots?"

I think sweetheart that that's subjective as I don't think anyone is an idiot unless I actually get more than verbal confirmation... It'd be very judgmental of me to assume you're an idiot for example just because of what you said... .. Though obviously I might be wrong and you could very well be one?! X

"Why do people who use the term "brainwashed" always come across as idiots?"

Look into subconscious programming ie brainwashing and you'll see it's a real life thing that exists on an individual, familial and collective level... The psychoanalytical industry will vouch for the veracity of it's importance and existence... but you can believe it's all a load of tosh, doesn't exist and doesn't affect you want... lol x

Are you next going to tell me about the wonders of NLP?

"psychoanalytical industry" thid being the industry selling the product unlike say the psychiatric community which has rubbished any such claims for decades (well at least outside the conditions of say a POW.).

Lol... takes them longer to become idiots??, reveal themselves as idiots???... I'm not precisely sure what it is you mean???... If someone is an idiot though idiocy usual shows its colours I'd have to agree... But being an idiot isn't really the worse thing that could happen to a person in life imo... Being wilfully mean I reckon trumps that lol.

I am not here to convince you of anything whatsoever lovely, of you don't enjoy the banter then move along I'd say... You called me an idiot based upon your disbelief of psychoanalysis which is a billion dollar industry... little old me talking about it in a thread doesn't threaten your opinion in any way imo

If your wife only died in March then it is very early days for you in the bereavement process. It can be a conversation killer to mention your widower status I,m afraid, people don't like to talk about death. I know as I am a widow myself. I find men are really shocked and embarrassed when they ask if I have been married/where my husband is and I tell them he's dead.

If I were you I would concentrate on having some fun and building a new life for yourself. It's a hard road being widowed/widower, you need time to adjust. You won't find anyone on here while you have a couple profile, so I,d ask admin to change that if I were you. XXX

4 months since your wife passed away - sit back and take stock before you go on a wife hunt - personally id say it was way way too soon to even think about this

Everybody seeks something different that suits there needs. For some people sex isn't sex without romance and for others that emotional attachment isn't needed or wanted.

I wasn't looking for love or romance or any type of emotion attachment at all yet it came into my life and there's nothing you can do to stop the love you feel for that certain someone as its a unstoppable emotion.

You can never say you won't fall for someone as you never know where or when it will happen.

Were all diffrent thankfully and we're all looking for diffrent things so to ask do women need romance on here is categorising us all as the same.

I think the basic true answer to your question is some do and some don't x

Somewhere / Everywhere /Kinksville

I was widowed in 2015, we were on here as a couple for many year.

6 months after I rejoined because I missed sex. I most definitely wasn't looking for anything but NSA.

However I met this wonderful man that is in my life full time. Just enjoying our first holiday together

You just never know what's round the corner, I've never been happier. X
