I wasn't asking anyone to speak to her on my behalf . I was wondering how couples get involved with this scene, do people just ask their partner or leave hints |

Your post made it sound like you already have a girlfriend but I see it could also mean a future girlfriend. 
People have said they start talking about fantasies and take it from there.
There's a handy website too where you each (you can do it separately in private) tick all the sex fantasies that you have, then the website only shows the fantasies that you share. So she'd never know you like wearing wellies while being covered in baked beans... for example.
