Here is a quick conundrum we have arranged a meet with a couple chatted and get on very well but it has now come up that one of them smokes. We dont meet smokers any more after a few that have stunk the house out. They claim they dont smoke heavily and wont smell of them when they arrive if they do what do we do do we turn them away or just grin and bear it. Its not taking one for the team as such as i am keen to meet but dont want my home smelling of smoke mmmmmm |

Do they declare they smoke on their profile? Do you declare on yours that you dont meet smokers? |

on our joint one yes we do and im sure i do on mine they didnt until we pointed this out to them and have now changed it |

Well it depends how off-putting it is, how much you want to meet them and if you can get past the 'inaccuracy' on their profile (which they have now corrected) |

true i need to think i dont want to be classed as a timewaster by them but i also dont want to be uncomfortable in my own home. i will think about it

If your really don't like meeting smokers, then I would say don't meet them however well you were getting on.
Otherwise could easily end up uncomfortable for you and them.

I believe that if you really wanted to meet then it wouldn't be such a major thing.
After all its only smoking, not leprosy.
Smokers who meet non smokers, in my opinion, are courteous and mindful of the fact that others do not smoke. Most would be happy to abide by your house rules. If you were to go to theirs then obviously you abide by their rules.
We don't smoke and have don't meet smokers on our profile. However its not really set in stone, we only chose that as we don't smoke and wouldn't actively go out to only meet smokers.
It just depends how anti you are. If that's the worst thing ever to you, then no don't meet them. |

I think that it's generally accepted by most that there is never any expectation in any meet situation, this very thought process supports an individuals right to say no. Bearing that in mind, I think you have every right to say no thanks with the information you are now party to.
I honestly don't think you are a time waster, a phrase we all know is far too easily thrown around on here, so don't be concerned. Being up-front sooner rather than later is always the best policy.
If they're good people, they'll understand. |

Smokers who meet non smokers, in my opinion, are courteous and mindful of the fact that others do not smoke. Most would be happy to abide by your house rules. If you were to go to theirs then obviously you abide by their rules.
We don't smoke and have don't meet smokers on our profile. However its not really set in stone, we only chose that as we don't smoke and wouldn't actively go out to only meet smokers.

I think I get what the OP means.. as a non smoker I have met smokers, but no matter how cleaned up they are, the taint is always there..
Have you met them socially.. perhaps that would be the best step.

Thanks cali no we havent and they want to play and so does Sir but im concerned about the lingering smell in my home Sir has agreed if they smell of smoke we will go and have a social drink over the road and then send them home |

I dislike it as you can taste it on their skin... so that is why I dont.. the smell can be quiet overpowering if your not a smoker.
I know that most smokers are considerate but.. after meeting a few I have found that i would rather not now.

thank you someone who gets it you can smell it and taste it even if they havent had one for a while i would much rather not meet them now i know he smokes but Sirs orders must be obeyed really. Altho he does agree with me on this one |

We both smoke. If a couple asked us to refrain from smoking for a few hours it wouldn't be a problem.It's hardly gonna kill us. If they didn't want to meet that wouldn't be a problem either. We'd leave it up to them,after all we're the ones doing something they find objectionable.
Unless I hadn't had a fag for a couple of hours and was clucking,then I'd tell em to go fuck 'emselves  |

I would call the meet off then. You do saeem adamant that its going to be a problem, and if the smoking, or something else, is bothering you don't meet.
I have never smoked, nor my OH, I haven't even tried it as a teen. I have smelt and tasted smoke on peoples skin, and my OH has tasted smoke whilst giving a woman oral sex, it is awful when that happens, it doesn't taste nice.
But I've also played with a guy who told me afterwards that he smokes occasionally. I couldn't detect it at all. Maybe its the heavy smokers that taste or maybe its an individual thing.
I get the impression from your posts though that its a big problem for you and you are not comfortable to play, but of course your sir is. You do not have to do as he says at all. But its what's most important, playing with a couple who may have a taste of smoke or disappointing your sir. What is the most important to you and there's your answer.
