La Mirage or Cap d Agde

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

We know that it's silly to think about next year summer vacation but still...

We'd like to go to a swinger vacation for a week in summer 2013 in would like some opinions on where is a better place to go La Mirage or Cap d Agde?

Please share your + and - on both places.

Thanks ahead for all the answers.

Cap d agde,France

We live by Cap and have been to Mirage...

For us Cap d Agde wins without a doubt !

Cap is huge much more going on party wise and the sheer amount of people is like nothing you will see in a swinging enviroment.

Mirage is more a place people go during the autumn winter months. Down sides you have to take cabs to get anywhere and also the beach is a good walk away,at Cap everything is all in one place.

Gran Canaria is cheaper for some thngs compared to france, but the Cap is an exclusive one off place like no other.

Also inside the village at Cap you have 2 resorts like mirage "Jardin de Eden and Jardin de Banylon" but on a much larger scale..

Hope this helps a littlel

Thank you for your answer. We've been surfin on net and got the feeling that it is better to visit La Mirage in winter seems like not many people are there during summer.

Your right during the summer swingers goto Cap as the meds nice and hot then.

Gran Canaria can be to hot during the summer months and think you'll find more your familys and club 18-30 crowd..

Most of the swingers go during the winter months,we came back from there just a week ago and it was and had been busy

Not been to mirage, but we did enjoy the Cap so that will now be our holiday of choice. Flights about £300 for both of us from Southampton into Bezier.

Only £100 each if you book now with Flybe, only thing is they have changed the flight times to 7am and returning at 9pm, that means we would have to spend two nights in Southampton grrrrrrr

The Edinburgh to Beziers route is a new one with Ryanair starting on Sunday March 31st 2013 and running twice weekly from then onwards ( unsure if it a summer only route )

Sunday flight info

Edi to Bez

Flt No FR7834

Dep 1130 Arr 1500

Bez to Edi

Flt No FR7835

Dep 1525 Arr 1655

Wednesday Flight Info

Edi to Bez

Flt No FR7834

Dep 1600 Arr 1930

Bez to Edi

Dep 1955 Arr 2125

Flt No FR7835

All times are local

Prices currently starting at £34.99 with no taxes one way

We are seriously considering giving this resort a try next year mainly in part due to this new flight route hence our knowledge of the above info ( been doing our homework )

Wow that's brilliant news! We are moving over next year and start a biz. So will fit in with our plans! Ppl knock Ryanair, but they do what they say on the tin! As for the resort

"every swinger should visit the cap before they die" it is truly unique. As Cap have said it can be as cheap or expensive as u want it to be. Accommodation can be as little as £30 per night. A 3 course meal for 2 with wine 30 euro. Flights are good value when compared to train prices in UK. Roll on the sun..... Happy Xmas & a brill 2013 see u on the Cap!

Thats weird because on the flybe site it says they are flying from edinburgh to bezier..on the ryan air site from edimbourg ? I don't know much about scotland but thats weird ...also doesn't say anything yet at Bezier airport although i supect they will be summer only flights in which case there will be no imformation for a while.

Good news for us the more the flights the better but think bezier may have to expand soon if they continue to add more traffic..

Also an Irish flight would be good as many folk from ireland head this way too

That would explain that then, but still don't see why flybe and ryan air would both start the same route together.

"That would explain that then, but still don't see why flybe and ryan air would both start the same route together."

As far as we can tell Flybe are not starting a new route

Ryanair are offering a new direct route twice weekly but Flybe are offering their existing connection route via Southampton or via Manchester then Southampton but no direct flights from Edinburgh to Beziers

Unless you know something we don`t?

Yes sorry you are right ...

After trying to book, its Edinburgh to Manchester to Southampton then to Bezier ..

Seems a bit stupid why the hell anyone would do that is beyond me.

I stand corrected ..

Costa Blanca Spain...

Must agree with the other comments. In the Summer months Cap d'Agde is a swingers MUST DO. There is nowhere like it in the world, the "Pigs beach" is unique, and the Le Glamour foam parties are worth the trip alone. There are swinger clubs, the sauna clubs are great if you get a rainy day, for sheer erotic entertainment the Melrose cannot be beaten, and for a quiet drink Jonny Wokkers is a nice place to meet and chat to other swingers.

For us the only downside is that the season is so short, otherwise we would get there a lot more often than just once a year.

We haven't been to La Mirage yet but are going in March so if the thread is still alive we will update.

" We haven't been to La Mirage yet but are going in March so if the thread is still alive we will update."

The new bigger Mirage is nice, we have just come back from there and had a good time, it's a big improvement on the smaller complex and they are still developing new ideas. I think you'll like it.

Gran Canaria isn't the same as Cap, maybe only 2-300 swingers there at any one time, but they do have 5 clubs and a few swingers bars and the dunes are beautiful and good fun too. It is quite a bit cheaper than Cap and couples get in Free to most of the clubs.

We like Gran Canaria in the winter, Cap d'Agde for a summer break

We have to put up with that all the time, we are 10 miles from France yet if we want to fly to Paris it goes to Southampton first, lolol

Seriously there is no cheap accommodation in the village, it's quite pricey, you may get something cheaper outside and buy a pass to go in everyday.

People we met there have bedsit they rent through Peng France, that's reasonable and right opposite the Waiki beach pool on the main drag, seen it and it's immaculate, if you are interested then message me and I'll ask them the number so you can check.

The campsite is the cheapest option, but not great and a bit of a walk to everything!

What do you call cheap?

Most rentals are Sat to Sat, I'd suggest prices are between E400 up to E1200 for a week.

Well cheap to one person is expensive to someone else. But your in the south of France, on the Mediterranean, so cheap to us is from £30 per night to £60 per night, arrive on whatever day u want, only thing is 5 nights minimum stay!

Hi - we have our summer home not far from The Cap and go down there quite often. We can vouch for it being a fabulous place and unique! We spend May to Sept in France and love having visitors too if you are passing on the A 75. A big secluded house and pool and we are naked 24/7 if warm enough - and it usually is!
