I’m thinking of a long winter sun break in Ras al Khaimah, January ‘23 to March kind of time. Any recommendations or advice? Used to live in Dubai many years ago but air b&b looks pretty pricey there for a long break, is RAK a better option?

Busy time of the year, most places are expensive in all emirates, though booking. Com always has discounts

Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Surrey

The Hilton is lovely - villas right on the beach, Maldives style !!

Thanks, I’ll check it out but it might not be the right booking platform for an 8+ week stay …

RAK is nice and peaceful compared to Dubai but other than the resorts there’s not much else to do, you can climb jebel jais. It’s nice, but it’s not anything spectacular

Thanks! That was on my list to do last time I was there, just as covid was kicking off, but the January storms had washed away part of the road so I never made it up there!
