September Swinging in Gran Canaria

Will be at Gran Canaria from 7th-14th September 2013. First time to the island therefore we would appriciate any advice as to where to go, drink, chat and hopefully play during the day, or at night.

Give us a shout if you will be there that week, we look forward to meeting new people.

You can try La Mirage is a Swinger resort, and for Bars, Comeback bar, Dreamtime bar, Meoow Swingers, and Bude. If you fancy Clubs, 2x2, Fun4all, Venus, Secrets, and Eternity are there as well you ve got loads of choice. we have always had a good time at GC. Happy Swinging

Fruit cocktail probably has named all the bars and clubs you need to know.

The beach around kiosk 4 is for naturalist,the dunes behind and all along the high ridges are fantastic for sun bathing .I prefer using the sun beds at kiosk 4, safe clean and still lots of horny people around till 18.00 and later until the bar closes.

The other option you may look at could be staying at a hotel with a naturalist sun bathing area normally on the roof. The IFA Faro is one I like.

I'm there at the same time as you guys , we might meet up for a drink with a few others.

There are quite a few hotels with nudist areas on their roof... Barcelo margaritas....ifa catarina(100ms from the cita).... Green fields....playa del sol to name a few

A question for you island regulars. We have coach transfers arranged however wondering, is it worth hiring a car for the week to get about the place. We are staying in Maspalomas and fully intend to try out a few clubs and of course the naughty beaches! So do ppl reccommend a car or is the bus/taxi service reasonable and reliable? Xx

If u plan on just staing in the maspalomas and playa del ingles area (which is where the swinger places are) taxis and buses are the best way to go...especially if u want a couple of drinks while u are out and about.

Taxis are always available over there and u can pick one up anywhere

Buses are also easy to find and cheap too so getting about is no problem

We have just come back our first time, didn't bother with the car as like people said always get a taxi. We loved it walked out a club 3am and taxi's there all waiting. Bars we went into comeback bar but seemed to go back to Miawu Bar more lovely dutch couple that run it very friendly. For Clubs we tried Venus & fun4all both ok depends on what you like we seemed to stay in fun4all most nites.

Have fun and enjoy i'm bugging my other half to go back in October , I just loved it can totally understand why people go 3/4 times a year

We were in GC in March and always go in 2x2 and we had lots of fun and met some great people. However, I do agree with you, in that it could do with a 'spruce up'. There were quite a few single guys in there too, but no one that we would choose to play with. There used to be a few young Spanish guys there, but didn't see any this time, wonder if they are going elsewhere? Maybe Eternity. May have a change when we go back in October and try somewhere else!

Our first nite in GC we decided to give 2x2 a try and didnt like it one bit, we wasnt shown around the girl just didnt seem interested, gave us a locker key & that was it. With it being our 1st in GC & found out its free to get in as a couple but they like u to buy a drink which is cool. If it wasnt for us talkin to a british couple in there that told us the situation think we would had walked out. We felt it didnt have a nice feel about it compared to venus & fun4all .... Im so having withdrawl symptons wishing we were there trying all the other clubs now .. lol

Sorry you had that experience on your first night. It sounds like the lady that stands in for Chris (the owner)on his nights off, as he is always welcoming and shows everyone around and explains everything, on there first visit. He should be making sure this happens when he is not there, or he will lose valuable custom, like your own! Glad you had some fun elsewhere!!

Yes do try it again. It is a much better atmosphere when Chris & Katie are there and normally there is a lot of 'action' out in the back rooms!!

We have just returned from GC last week....went for first time. Heading back September....just about to book it. Loved Cita centre....Venus club and Miaow bar. Lovely owners made everyone so welcome at both venues. Nudist bathing fab at beach and hotel xx

we was there in may had a great time went to 2x2 but it was very quite there

so went to secrets and whooooo what a place done out top notch great place

we are there again 7 september to 17 will be in meiows bar and secrets sunday night and friday sat and sunday the following weekend, nude beach and dunes every day

dont be shy come say hi we dont bite unless you ask us to lol

The prices are nuts just now

We were almost £500 just for flights for next week that was almost 2 months ago. They are now up about the £750 last time I looked ,,,,,,, good old ryainair NOT.

But in saying that we got flights for the start of December for £239 for both of us inc hold luggage so happy with that and a hotel for £150. Just for a week but its all ya need just to recharge batteries.

We booked with jet.2 from Newcastle. Got all inclusive for under 500. Not sure what the hotel will be like but as long as its clean we are happy.

Also, not really related to that kind of fun, but are there any good water parks nearby? Our last trip was to Tenerife and we liked cooling off in the water park for a few hours, and all the people in their swim wear made us even more horny than normal

One thing to be aware of is the dunes area are not for the feint hearted. The sheer amount of single guys that are walking around can be very intimidating, they are not in the least bit discreet and will quite openly stand wanking as you walk past them, or walk past you. Telling them to "fuck off" or such like is futile, most likely they cannot understand you or if they can they have heard it all before, a thousand times, they after all are there for the very same reason you are, except they are a tad more open about it.

Most couples that sunbathe in the dunes tend to find a spot towards the top of a dune, usually with some sort of tree covering for shade. True naturists outweigh the swingers many times over so don't take it as read that a couple sunbathing are swingers, most likely they aren't. From experience (10+years) you are most likely to find people who want to play towards the end of the day as the heat of the sun has faded and its started to become quieter. Contact is usually made by a nice smile, and possibly by some physical interaction followed by eye contact, remember they may not be Brits, nor even speak English as the Europeans far outweigh us Brits in number. If you do start playing, then do not be surprised to find yourself surrounded by single guys, especially around and slightly further inland from the Palm tree. They have the uncanny knack of sniffing out a playing couple and can descend in their hoards. A word of warning, when looking inland, the area 200 yards to the right of the Palm tree is the gay cruising area. You will know when you are in it

Personally we find the dunes a pain in the arse, they are hot, very tiresome, and certainly not the honey pot of sex that newbies are led to believe. Pay the 7 euro charge and rent 2 sunbeds and save your energy for the night rather than hiking around the dunes.......and enjoy a cold beer from Kiosk 4 whenever you want one! Bliss

It's great to get some experienced info like that passed on!

We're ok with having to be a bit blunt with groups of guys if need be, but we still appreciate the heads up!

I think we'll soak up the sun on a sun bed during the day and keep an eye out for anything tempting, then have a good time in the clubs at night! (we normally have to make do with 'normal' clubs and see who we can find while abroad, so it should make a nice change

Aquasur is the name of the water park its about a 8 min taxi ride from playa del ingles...not as big as the tenerife one but still well worth a visit

We also have to agree with a lot of what Ben and Lisa have said

No doubt you will want to see for yourselves what the dunes entail as sometimes it can be quite funny before it can then be quite annoying

A lot of guys don't always take notice when the women tell them to fuck off but if it comes from the hubby then they politely apologise and go (most times)

Im sure you will find out soon enough

We also prefer to pay and get a sunlounger now as its more relaxing and you can nip to the bar whenever you like

These sun loungers you mention. ...are these at the nude beach or does swimwear need to be worn? Thinking maybe we should relax there during day and maybe take a stroll to the dunes when it gets a bit cooler and when I expect most people look to have fun xx

The amount of good advice about Gran Canaria on the various forums is excellent and this is no exception.

We found that the worst place to be on the beach at Cap D'Agde was about 12 feet away from any couples having sex. The single guys just formed a circle and were not averse to trampling on anyone who was in the vicinity, closely followed by what we shall leave to your collective imaginations

Is it like this at Gran Canaria too?

. Never mind....it was good fun getting re-aquainted with Google Earth after a long time away, (eventually discovered that the 20 should have been a 27. Joking apart, we do appreciate the help from those who have boldly gone before

Spot on Ben & Lisa. We tend to go to nudist beach at Playa del Ingles end and walk back into the dunes to sunbathe, but you still get single guys pestering you. Sometimes they just plonk themselves right in front of you and start playing with themselves, when it is quite obvious that you're not interested and just want some privacy. We now only play in clubs at night, met some great couples there!!

On the subject of advice.

How much Euros would those of you with Gran Canaria experience recommend we take with us for 2 weeks beach visits, swinger clubbing plus a bit of normal tourist stuff (we are half board at the hotel so food cost would only be a light lunch)?

How would you divide it between cash and pre- loaded cash card from a travel agent?

Can only speak for drink prices in 2x2 club, La Sandia. They have happy hour for first hour they are open, varies 10 - 10.30pm. Spirit drinks are 7 euros each, so you will get 2 rounds in first hour (drinks are strong!). Small water bit expensive, 3 euros. You can get a nice light lunch for anything from 4 or 5 euros. We always take cash with us rather than pre paid card and obviously always have a safe to keep cash and passports etc in. Don't take travellers cheques as no one wants to change them! Happy holidays
